DevilMayCare Posted Tuesday at 12:12 PM Posted Tuesday at 12:12 PM Week 11 Cam O'Hara (QB, Cooper) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🗞️ | Giving 2024 vibes…. Last season’s level was always going to be hard to approach, let alone surpass. Last week was a return to last year's form, plus a little extra. O'Hara lit up the sky over Independence with 453 yards and a career high eight touchdown passes, tied for the second most ever in a single game and tied Gino Guidugli for the NKY record. It had to feel good to set the arm free after being in grind mode most of the season. Season so far: 107/186 (57%) for 1,833 yards and 21 touchdowns with 5 interceptions Ryker Campbell (WR/DB, Cooper) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🗞️ | If O'Hara went ham, Campbell was the glaze. He snagged eight O'Hara passes for 278 yards and six touchdowns against Simon Kenton. Like his quarterback, Campbell tied a Highlands goat for single game touchdowns. His six scoring receptions equal the NKY standard previously set by Brett Hamblen. Season so far: 37 receptions for 982 yards and 12 touchdowns | 3 rushing touchdowns | 3 interceptions, including a pick-six | 39 tackles Marlon Harbin III (ATH, Saint Xavier) ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🗞️ | He was trending down slightly in recent weeks, but closed out the regular season on a high note, displaying his triple threat capabilities. Harbin scored touchdowns via offense, defense, and special teams against Madison Central, laying out for a touchdown reception in the back of the endzone, taking his own forced fumble 94 yards the other way, and matching that distance on a kick-off return score. Madison Central High School.mp4 Season so far: 43 carries for 274 yards and 7 touchdowns | 45 receptions for 502 yards and 7 touchdowns | 2 kick return touchdowns | 32 tackles | 2 interceptions | 1 scoop and score Wyatt Robbins (QB, Murray) ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🗞️ | All had fallen quiet on the western front. After pushing his way to the heart of the Mr. Football conversation, Robbins faded from consciousness as district play diminished his workload. He shouted at the top of his lungs against Caldwell County to remind us he's still out there. Message received loud and clear following 346 yards and three touchdown passes. He swiped this week's 'William Tell Marksmanship Award' 🎯 after completing 12/13 attempts. Caldwell County High School.mp4 Season so far: 134/185 (72%) for 2,515 yards and 28 touchdowns with 2 interceptions | 456 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns Jacob Savage (RB/LB, Ryle) ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🗞️ | He barreled through Dixie Heights’ defense for 111 yards and three scores on nine carries, punished ball carriers with twelve tackles, and came within an ankle tackle of a pick-six. No one physically imposes themselves on a game like Savage. His tape every week reflects that. Dixie Heights High School.mp4 Season so far: 139 carries for 1,019 yards and 21 touchdowns | 4 touchdown receptions | 95 tackles | 12 TFL | 1 fumble forced and one recovered | 2 interceptions Evan Hampton (RB, Owensboro) ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🗞️ | He was full speed ahead against Hendo, rushing for just shy of 200 yards and three touchdowns on just nine carries. All three touchdown runs would have been good playing two hand touch, as Hampton left defenders lunging at air and seemingly running in place. Henderson County High School.mp4 Season so far: 111 carries for 1,165 yards and 16 touchdowns | 154 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns Gerian Traynor (RB, Manual) ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🗞️ | He's proven hard to stop since returning from injury a few weeks ago. Traynor has eclipsed a hundred yards in six consecutive games he's played in, most recently running for 168 and a touchdown against Male to help the Crimsons keep the barrel for at least another year. Season so far: 127 carries for 1,036 yards and 13 touchdowns | 1 receiving touchdown Kain Patton (ATH, Prestonsburg) ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🗞️ | The state leader in scrimmage yards and scoring poured some of each on Estill County to polish off an unbeaten regular season for the Blackcats. He amassed 304 total yards - 230 rushing/74 receiving - and four rushing touchdowns to derail the Engineers. Season so far: 116 carries for 1,654 yards and 24 touchdowns | 29 receptions for 606 yards and 5 touchdowns | 38 tackles | 1 sack Cam Wade (WR/DB, Paducah Tilghman) ⭐⭐⭐ 🗞️ | Continuing to do his best to pick up where Martels Carter Jr. left off, Wade took an interception back for six and housed a punt against Christian County. He's returned a punt for a touchdown two weeks in a row. Season so far: 47 receptions for 768 yards and 12 touchdowns | 4 interceptions, including two pick-sixes Maddox O'Neal (QB, McCracken County) ⭐⭐ 🗞️ | The watchlist jinx strikes again…. He was singled out last week for his exemplary play over the previous five games, sporting a 21/0 touchdown to interception ratio. O'Neal was promptly picked off three times last week and completed 47% of his throws as the Mustangs fell to Graves County. Season so far: 162/266 (63%) for 2,152 yards and 29 touchdowns with 8 interceptions | 2 rushing touchdowns Cam Davis (ATH, Ashland) ⭐ 🗞️ | Barring a rousing run to Kroger Field, Davis’ campaign is effectively over after exiting Ashland's loss to Lexington Catholic in the first quarter after posting two carries for 13 yards. Season so far: 119 carries for 952 yards and 18 touchdowns | 148 receiving yards and 1 touchdown | 3 interceptions, including a pick-six Colin Daniels (QB, North Oldham) ⭐ 🗞️ | He and the Mustangs were lulled to sleep by a district slate riddled with porous defense. Atherton provided the nightmare fuel with a defensive effort that never allowed Daniels to find the rhythm he's thrived on all season. He threw a season low one touchdown pass after tossing three or more in eight straight games and was picked off for the first time since September 19th. Season so far: 146/218 (67%) for 2,292 yards and 38 touchdowns with 3 interceptions | 129 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns Trending Up 📈 Mason Trimble (QB, Saint Xavier) 🗞️ | Harbin is the scene stealer, but his quarterback is the key to X’s offense. The pass/run option Trimble presents makes the Tigers go. They've “gone” for 34 points per game vs. a bruiser of a schedule with him behind center, but scored just 3 without him against Boyle County. Since returning to action against Manual four games ago, he's accounted for 15 touchdowns. Sr. year.mp4 Season so far: 123/178 (64%) for 1,441 yards and 17 touchdowns with 4 interceptions | 269 rushing yards and 7 touchdowns 1 3
DevilMayCare Posted Tuesday at 03:05 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 03:05 PM The watchlist was feeling generous this week - two five stars and six four stars. 1
Sycamores57 Posted Tuesday at 03:20 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:20 PM Regardless if he wins Mr. Football, Jacob savage is the best high school player I have ever seen in person. I think he should be the front runner, but with the tough schedule Ryle played and the tough path to the state finals, I could see the voters going with someone else. He is a true 2 way stud. Reminds me a lot of Travis Elliot as a runner, but is just as good on the defensive side of the ball. Cam O'Hara is also very impressive. He is putting up massive numbers. 1

I agree it would be hard to find a better all around football player than Jacob Savage. 1

Flyer_Fan87 Posted Tuesday at 04:21 PM Posted Tuesday at 04:21 PM I know I'm partial, I'd love to see Delano Collins get some love. He has 665 Yards receiving, 198 rushing for a total of 863 yards, and has impacted the game on all sides, scoring 138 points this year. He's done rushing, receiving, 3INT's and one of those a Pick 6, Punt return, and kick off return. In 4A stats, He is either at or in the top 15 of several stats. I know there are several out there, but if I gotta pick a player to change the game, it's him. Not saying the ones mentioned should not be up there, but this kid works hard and shares the rock with several other talented players. Ky football does have several exciting players to watch. 1
