  1. Looking forward to the trip to BG this year! Good luck this season, stay healthy!
  2. 2025 was a year when Franklin County was supposed to face adversity and struggle on the field. Franklin County continued to work each week and push themselves to find whatever strength they had buried within. Week after week, they answered the call and improved. They finished their third straight regular season undefeated and then entered the gauntlet of 4A playoffs. These players answered the call against very talented teams, Valley, North Oldham, and Paducah Tilghman, in the playoffs to earn a trip to Kroger Field to play for a state championship. Franklin County met a tough Boyle County team that went on to win the state championship. 2026:Although losing several key contributors on offense and defense, Franklin County football is still here, still working to get better, and still trying to kick down the door in front of them. The culture has been set at Franklin County, and the work is being put in to break down that door and win the most sought-after game in high school: a state championship. In the past six years, Franklin County has won six regional titles, reached the semifinals six times, and appeared at Kroger Field three times. Making Franklin Co 41-3 in the past three years, with those three losses to eventual State Champions Boyle Co twice and Paducah Tighman. What will this year's team do to continue the growth after losing several key contributors from last year? It’s next man up! There are some returning players to be excited about: Knox Barrett, Joe Montgomery, Ty Smith, Aaron Vaughn, and Aaron Jones. A couple of freshmen looking to contribute are Preston Schaffer and Camar Moore. On defense, Zander Edington, Lane Brock, Corieon Tabbs, and Nick Dunmire look to grow and lead. In my opinion, 4A is the toughest section from top to bottom. Out of 39 teams, Franklin County has continually been in the mix, and this year should not be any different. Could this be the year Franklin County kicks down the only door left standing in front of them? It's early, and a lot of work remains. While 2025 ended in heartbreak, 2026 is here, and there's a sign in the locker room that describes this perfectly: “Nobody cares. Work harder.” This is why Franklin County continues to improve and remain at the top of 4A among several other powerhouses. 2026 Schedule Scott Co (Battle of Elkhorn Bowl) Bullitt East (H) PRP (H) LCA (A) Shelby (H) Lincoln (H) Spencer (A) Grant Co (H) TWSFT (A) Bowling Green (A)
  3. Congratulations. we were whipped on the line of scrimmage all night. Hopefully we can keep building and working and get another swing at it. We just never looked like who we are from the beginning. Driver is a playmaker, Hisel is as shifty as they come can't teach that. Waits on blockers and hits the hole with good speed.
  4. Line of scrimmage killed us tonight. Kudos to Boyle. Hate it for my seniors who have worked their tails off. Proud of em!
  5. My goodness nothing for Franklin co looked like Franklin Co tonight. Sure does sting....
  6. Just purchased her the game on prepspin. I do wish the app on our smart tv had the ability to pull it up. However she has been shown how to mirror the phone screen! She's all set up!
  7. I apologize if this has been addressed already. I'll be at the game but wife is unable to make it but wants to catch the game. Is there a difference or preference between prepspin or NFHS?
  8. To be the man, you gotta beat the man. Regardless of how the Boyle game ended you can't take anything away from them. However, Boyle is beatable and it will take a solid game from the Flyers!! With that said Franklin County has consistently been in the top part of 4A six straight regional championships and now I believe 3-3 in semi final games. Second straight State Championship game. Only one thing left to finally get ahold of and that's a State Championship. I truly believe the grit and drive of these young men is enough to finally kick down that door ! Tall task ahead and not taking anything away from a program like Boyle who is obviously one of the best in the state, but it comes down to what happens when you put the pads on!!! Hopefully a good clean game with no injuries and Franklin County brings home that elusive state championship!!! Future is bright at 1100 east main!!! #County
  9. I was there this morning always a privilege to get to enjoy a Thanksgiving Day practice!
  10. Also on YouTube ApexMediaMusic has been streaming with Kyle Thompson and Co!! Should be a good one!!! Looking forward to it.
  11. Turnovers and they do have some speed. Was not expecting this half time score.
  12. Do you know if there is a live stream for the game? JC got some big boys interested to see how it goes! Going to be a good one, no doubt!
  13. Valley has some athletes. In my opinion, North Oldham was the best team they have played so far, and it wasn't even close. If County is focused and takes care of business, it should be a quick night and onto the third round. But this is why you put the pads on Friday nights; you have to show up and play ball.
  14. What a second-round match-up!! If JC can play their game, I give them the edge. No doubt CC has the potential to take care of business too, but if that JC run game is going and they make some stops on defense, those runs can wear down a defense. This may very well be the game of the night, in my opinion.
  15. JC and it's not even close. I don't know what the single-game rushing record is for JC, but if they want to break it, they will.
  16. I know I'm partial, I'd love to see Delano Collins get some love. He has 665 Yards receiving, 198 rushing for a total of 863 yards, and has impacted the game on all sides, scoring 138 points this year. He's done rushing, receiving, 3INT's and one of those a Pick 6, Punt return, and kick off return. In 4A stats, He is either at or in the top 15 of several stats. I know there are several out there, but if I gotta pick a player to change the game, it's him. Not saying the ones mentioned should not be up there, but this kid works hard and shares the rock with several other talented players. Ky football does have several exciting players to watch.
  17. Good luck moving forward in the playoffs. Was a good game. Gives both teams things to work on as they prepare for the next month as many schools what to be one of six to win that last game. BG is not short of talent. In my opinion it was a good win over a quality opponent.
  18. It was a pleasure to meet you too sir!
  19. No doubt a tall task ahead of FC. They have won ugly this year, and that is due to the grit they show. Win or lose, it can help them for a run in November. FC has been knocking on the door; just have to get it knocked down. I'm excited for the matchup, and hopefully it is a good game. I've never gotten to see BG, but I am excited to see them. The future is bright, but they gotta keep working. CAL looks good. If you guys stay focused, I don't see anything in CAL's way of another state title. Either way, this is senior night with a solid group that has given a lot. Kudos to the coach for not getting a gimme game. Looking forward to Nov football in KY!!
  20. I know you guys have athletes in BG and play teams full of them. He is just special, shifty, fast and a great teammate. He loves to see his teammates eat, so doesn't have crazy numbers but he can be electric. It will be nice to watch him play against a quality defense. Looking forward to watching some good football friday night! Are you making the trip to Frankfort? If so, be safe!!
  21. If Delano Collins gets going could be an interesting night.......
  22. FC BIG unless Coach J finds sympathy and plays the depth chart. And that may not change the outcome too much. Flyers are too much in this!
  23. Hats off to Spencer they took the fight to County tonight. Well coached, disciplined they don't make many mistakes. They are a sound football team. Both homes games so far this year been a 1 point victory with Jacob Olds blocking PATs!!!!
  24. I think SC just running their offense will put lots of points up. I'm not one to disrespect another team because we all take those losses. But between their defense and multiple issues snapping the ball. Will be lots of short fields in my opinion. Good luck this week and leave early that traffic was rough headed there last night.
  25. Scott Co may have the starters out before halftime. That schedule PRP has this year is not what they needed. They really need to revisit how they schedule. I'm all for playing strong competition but when you do it and your not in a place to and your in 6A playing those teams makes for a long tough year. Scott co will decide how many points they want to score. PRP is really struggling. Unfortunately for PRP it will be another 60-0 loss.
