Definitely. Holy Cross is legit. I am sure Ric is not happy but I think this was a bigger win for Lloyd more than it was a bad loss for the Indians. Both teams are going to be tough outs when the 9th Region Tournament rolls around and I think coach Walker and Johnson would both love to play this game again. These are the types of games you want to be apart of.

Very recently I was laughed at in my face by multiple people for saying I thought Lloyd could beat Holy Cross. Things were said to me like " Blaackar is not that good " " All Lloyd has is Blaackar " "Lloyd has no size " " Lloyd has no experience " " EJ Walker is not there to save Lloyd anymore ". Right now all I can do is sit back and laugh and I can't wait to see my acquaintances again.

Well with that being said, looks the the Juggs and NCC will be breaking in that new scoreboard at Bob Schneider field in week 1. Nice.

For how perfect things had to be played out for Lloyd to get home field advantage in 2025 I think they may need to swap Newport or NCC out for a 4A, 5A or 6A school to help them out with RPI to get that home field advantage again in 2026. They were undefeated and barely were able to come up with that #2 seed due to how good the top teams were in 3A. CAL is, CAL...and they will have that #1 seed sewed up. Murray and Bell will both be good teams again. Lex Cath will be looking to improve with a bad taste lingering in their mouth. That #2 seed will be a hard one to bargain for just like it was in 2025 but the Juggs did a fantastic job earning it. Scheduling a bigger school in place of Newport or NCC earlier in the year could also be tricky for the Juggs, not knowing exactly what they will be getting from the next QB1. The margin of error for that #2 seed will be very very slim again this year.

After all the C++++'s I gave them for 2025 @DRKARK I have to backtrack on those, they had an A+ season and I am looking forward to watching them again in 2026.

I don't know of any freshman making a impact on varsity. There is Wimzie at Highlands who is in the 8th grade. Alot of good freshman playing freshman ball and JV but I don't know if that makes the list here.

I didn't think Scott had been playing that bad. As you said, no disrespect to CC. Winning is contagious and that's what CC have been doing lately.

I don't know who needs this win more between Beechwood and Ryle on Tuesday. Beechwood should feel good at 10-2 but this game should tell alot about where they are truely at. Ryle at 5-6 definitely cannot feel comfortable with the thought of falling 2 games under .500. They have played some good ball but the quote " you are who your record says you are " comes to mind here.

I can't gauge Conner right now and it's erking my nerves. Walton should not be slept on, on any given night they can burst your bubble and it's been that way for a while now.

Blaackar with 30. Averaging 21+ PPG. OC's head coach Chris Renner tossed in the 4th after losing his cool on the refs in what he thought was a terrible called game. OC has some really good young talent.

#15 is showing a lot of respect to the Tigers. The Ryle game should be a dandy.

Decent? Decent??? What is " good " if 23/9 is decent? I would say those numbers would be good for a 5th year senior, we're talking about a sophomore here. I think he is just scratching the surface and dunno if the ceiling is anywhere in sight yet. I know he has put some muscle on that frame. Scary.

I thought Lloyd might have an athlete that could check Louden but I guess I was wrong. Looking at the box scores lately I don't know if some of Lloyd's best athletes are playing.

That makes it hard to tell whose who. Lloyd plays Conner again and I still don't know if the result of that one will tell us much.
