Most of the schools we as fans follow have a “calling card” that stays true regardless of the season.  Scott is no different: tough, gritty defense…athletic kids who can shoot…fundamentally sound.   This Eagles squad checks all those boxes.  Both teams got off to a slow start, with Scott grabbing the lead mid-first quarter and never relinquishing it for the duration of the game.  I came away rather impressed with the Eagles’ ability to break the press without much issue.  The Wildcats made a late-3rd quarter run to get within 12, but a 5-0 spurt by Scott quickly turned the tide for good.  Ty Cook led Scott (7-3) with 24 and Hunter Keeton led Pendleton (6-6) with 20 points.

Scott is back in action on Monday night in a district seeding matchup at Calvary Christian, while Pendleton county will make the trek up 27 to face Brossart on Tuesday.
