12th Region Fan

I know he gets brought up every year when a job comes open, but I’ll bring him up again. Would Ryan Young have interest here? I haven’t looked up the numbers but I would guess Mercer pays more than Somerset. Also, not sure if he ever moved to Somerset so maybe Mercer would be a closer drive and easier on family. He graduates 3 starters. This is just pure speculation as what these boards are for. Thoughts?

This is the first time Rock has saw the size of DCA. I don’t think the two have ever played. It seems like the teams who play DCA more regularly do better than the teams who haven’t played them. I’ll take DCA by double digits. I’ll lean West Jessamine in the other game. However, I won’t be surprised if Driver wills them to another victory.

On the other hand, Coach Adams can take a deep breath. The Colts survived. I look forward to watching this semi final game.

Hats off to the Cougars. I thought Hensley was incredible all night for them. Coach Gover has something brewing down there. I look for them to be a fixture in the region going forward.

Happy for Webb! I’m sure it wasn’t easy with his dad stepping away as the head coach this last offseason.

Nothing like a 12th region tournament!

Excited to get this started tonight! I believe the first matchup will be interesting. How will Somerset limit Driver? And can Boyle’s guards do anything to match Somerset’s?

They’re hoping like crazy that this doesn’t happen.

By a quick glance- West, Southwestern, and Rock did. SCS, East, and Somerset didn’t play them. DCA and Boyle were the only two to travel to Stanford this year (district opponents).

I think all of the teams played a game this year at PCHS except for Boyle. Do you think that is intentional by these coaches wanting to get a game at the region site each year or just luck of how the schedule plays out? Interesting to see Boyle didn’t play Pulaski this year. I feel like they typically play year in and year out.

Everyone saw this one coming. Where did coach Adkins son transfer to? if Kasey McRay wants the job, then he will be a hard candidate to beat. He’s done a great job at Garrard.

I can see the argument. However, the crowds and the excitement of having all these games in one place is unmatched.

If lower number is better, I just see no way Southwestern offense is that much better than Somerset’s. My eyes tell me that Somerset is one of the better offensive teams in the region and these numbers say the opposite. Maybe my eyes just don’t know ball.

His son doesn’t play for him at Mercer? Where did he transfer to?

I didn't think it was a charge either. However, in a tie game and 5-6 minutes left in the 2nd quarter, why is he in the game?

Don’t see this happening. Not sure the board has a good taste in their mouth after he took his kids from the county and went to the city this year. He also had a teaching job and no longer has that this year.

Do you think that is some strategy by both teams? Not wanting to see each other until the region tournament?
