  1. I was coming here to say a quick word about Webster County too. They could finish 7-3 with wins over McLean and Ft. Campbell. The Trojans have some good talent this year and won't be losing a whole lot for next season either.
  2. This game came down to the wire with Central taking the lead with under 2 minutes to go, only to have that lead evaporate in about 1 minute. McLean won the game when their 2 point conversion was good. McLean won, 28-27 and will have a big match-up against Webster County next Thursday.
  3. Hopkins Central came into this season with high expectations due to having so many returning starter and a Mack truck in the backfield in Calil McNary, but they've dropped a couple of games they probably shouldn't have and now find their backs against the walk against a good McLean County team. McLean played well last week against a very good Union County team. I'm expecting a win from McLean, but wouldn't be totally shocked to hear that Hopkins Central got the victory either. It'll either be McLean in a blowout or Hopkins Central in a tight one...
  4. I agree that PT is stacked. Logan will keep it close for a little bit, but Tilghman wins it, 48-14.
  5. They will have a tough Hancock team this Friday. Hancock has played pretty good this year. I've seen some of their games on YouTube. They had a really good looking kid, #8, on their team last year and the beginning of this year. Not sure if he's injured or what though bc I haven't seen him since. As for Webster, they still have tough games left on their schedule.
  6. This is gonna be a big district game for these 2 teams. Graves has been playing good football and Madisonville North is 4-1. The winner of this game is most likely hosting a round 1 playoff game and the loser will be going on the road in the playoffs. I'm going with MNHHS. They have a very talented QB and their defense has been stout all season. Graves definitely has a shot and this game is gonna be close.
  7. Caldwell will not fair well the rest of the season, as I know they've lost their starting QB, one starting RB and 2 other starters to some non-football issues.
  8. Murray had real struggles tonight at the QB position. Wilson was a returning starter, but he had an off night. Murray couldn't get anything going offensively and Union just slowly built a lead that Murray wasn't gonna be able to come back from. The Johnson kid from Union is a stud. They play him in a wildcat look and he's hard to stop. Union ate clock and methodically moved the ball up and down the field.
  9. Why have I been under the impression that Metcalfe was fielding another very good team this year? I didn't think Barren was a juggernaut and they came in and blanked the Hornets, 30-0. Then, this loss to Campbellsville where I thought MC would at least be competitive.
  10. Sounds like Barren has played a little sloppy in at least 2 of their 3 victories. I was surprised by their win in this game. They were down to Trigg through 3 full quarters 2 weeks ago and then the injury bug bit Trigg and Barren took full advantage, by scoring 3 times in the 4th quarter of that game. Barren should get their 4th win against a suspect Monroe Co. team.
  11. Beechwood Ryle Owensboro Senior Lexington Christian Academy Trinity
  12. Ohio County has looked very rough in their first few games. This Hancock win still doesn't tell me what kind of team Hancock is just yet. Their game this Friday against McLean may be a better barometer for Hancock this season.
  13. I'm taking Senior, only because it's tough to beat a team 2 years in a row. Last year, it was a major win for O.C. Now, Senior is on notice.
