Barren County 7 Warren East 6

The Raiders have to be disappointed with this loss, gave up a TD with 2 minutes left in the 4Q after gaining a 6-0 lead in the 1Q. The Trojans were stopped multiple times in the red zone leading up to the game winning drive and pulled through when they needed it the most. Congratulations to Coach Tommy Muse and his team starting the season 3-0.

Cross town matchup for the Raiders next week as they march down Louisville Rd to face Warren Central. Barren County goes on the road to Tompkinsville to play Monroe County.

Sheesh. That’s an ugly, ugly loss if you’re WE.
Congrats to Barren County!

Barren County has there 1st 3-0 start since 1995.

Good job Trojans!

The Warren East offense doesn’t seem to be able to get it going right now. Will be an interesting matchup for them next week!

East had lost only one game in the last 34 years when holding the other team to single digits, and that was back in 2004.  They had won 47 such games in a row and 73 of 74.

This week is a get-right spot though.  They've won seven in a row against Warren Central, and haven't scored fewer than 28 in that stretch or allowed more than 20.

Sounds like Barren has played a little sloppy in at least 2 of their 3 victories. I was surprised by their win in this game. They were down to Trigg through 3 full quarters 2 weeks ago and then the injury bug bit Trigg and Barren took full advantage, by scoring 3 times in the 4th quarter of that game.

Barren should get their 4th win against a suspect Monroe Co. team.
