  1. I’ll take the Birds in a close one if they can contain Rodriguez. If the Colonels QB drops 255 and 3TDs like LexCath did, it might be a long night.
  2. I hope that you’re correct. Shuffling QBs opens the door to a lot of second guessing and what if scenarios when things don’t go as planned. I wouldn’t want that creeping into anyone’s head.
  3. I hope that you’re correct. Shuffling QBs opens the door to a lot of second guessing and what if scenarios when things don’t go as planned. I wouldn’t want that creeping into anyone’s head.
  4. I think most defenses would welcome a team with multiple qbs. Especially if it means a player the caliber of Benke doesn’t have the ball in his hands. Just my opinion though.
  5. Whether it’s when Tayden and Cale are sophomores, or juniors, Litmer will definitely be fighting for his job. As they all should be. It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out and if Litmer gets moved to a different position.
  6. And I’m not a big fan of getting into team depth charts and kids skill level at the high school level, but if folks have current rosters and player numbers, for the teams already shown, I’ll get them added. Starting defense, starting oline, 2 QBs, 4 RBs, 4 WRs and 2 TEs. Or just 2 QBs and 10 skill players, and folks can put them where they want on their own.
  7. Change of plans. I’m going to make it a full on Kentucky HS Football version instead of including national teams. It’ll be north v south, and consist of 6 fictional districts. I’ll swap out the Ohio and national teams for the likes of Bell County, Tilghman, Mayfield, Corbin, etc.
  8. So it turns out I had started on rosters when I put this on the back burner. That would have been the 2020 season. If anyone has the ability to play the rom via an emulator or retro console, I have 2 versions you can download and check out. One with no names, and one with some partial rosters. I will have them playable online at some point. www.hometownminis.com
  9. Coming soon. I just need to make some quick tweaks and it’ll be available to play for free online. Rosters are generic but updatable. If there’s enough interest, I’m not opposed to updating to current rosters. I will also have a hard copy available to download for those with emulators or the retro consoles that allow adding games.
  10. Gotcha. Most NKY 7th and 8th grade teams play in the NKMSAA, with the exception of the 4 Boone County teams and Colonel Youth's 8th Grade "A Team". And those NKMSAA Playoffs overlap the KY "Middle School" State Tournament. I guess these 6th grade teams would be NKYFL teams?
  11. I’ve never even heard of a 6th grade state championship.
  12. Which I hope is not the case. Seems a bit silly especially considering tickets would have been purchased months ago.
  13. Another word is that anyone who went is off the team.
  14. Nevermind. Here’s the link https://go.prepspin.com/highlands-at-lexington-catholic-hs-football-friday-aug-18th-at-6pm/?mibextid=Zxz2cZ
  15. If Beechwood players attended the concert I’ll take McNick. ?
  16. Is there a link yet? Neither Prepspin or NFHS show it as an upcoming event. Or I’m just not seeing it.
  17. Sounds like Highlands v CovCath should be a good one. This birds group hasn’t lost a game since coming together in 7th grade. Freshman scores can be a little misleading, depending on who’s playing up, but I would guess they’ll both be very good.
  18. Agreed. I don’t understand the theory that moving Benke around at WR and RB throughout the game helps them win. They’re loaded at those positions and don’t need Benke taking extra licks or becoming a target for opportunity seekers. It would be an absolute shame if something happened to him outside of the pocket that cost them a shot at a championship. They’ve got a ton of talent and a legit shot at bringing back the hardware to Fort Thomas. The younger kids will get their turn eventually.
  19. Still need to get them organized by year but I think I have most of those posted in the thread. Trying to find better images on some others.
  20. Thanks, I’ll add it. Should have some new additions in a day or two. I appreciate it.
  21. I don't think there’s a stream. Frosh are up first. How they lookin?
  22. Thank you, these are great! Newport is bringing back the Cats decal on white helmet this season.
  23. Thanks to those who reached out. I think we have the full slate of Blue Colonels, and more Holmes, Holy Cross, Lloyd, NCC, Newport and Scott.
  24. Awesome. I remember when you posted these, and it was a bit of inspiration. Just took me a while to get around to it. I’ll definitely add them. Thank you very much.
  25. Hopefully I can post this piece of nostalgia here and allow folks to contribute in the comments. I'll keep updating and make the final version available to anyone who wants a copy. Pics, and the season(s) the helmet was worn would be awesome. Same for those already shown. If I can date them all, I will. Thanks in advance, and enjoy!
