Open Job: Christian County

Maybe Fletcher will move his all state son over to Christian County if it is Atchley. -
What's going on at Pulaski County?
Big Fletch replied to TylerDurden's topic in KY Football (High School)
In the 20 or so Banquets I have been involved in at the very end most coaches make a short statement that basically says that the season has concluded and then sets the expectations for the current juniors. A changing of the guard you may say. I am assuming that the statement he made was during this time and he probably truly believes that in order for them to progress he needed to address this so it did not fester along all off season. -

If not at the banquet then when? Sometimes when you have all of the interested parties in one place it is better to discuss it. If it makes the people who like to talk about it in the stands, at the local restaurants or on social media uncomfortable so be it. -
Russellville 38 Ballard Memorial 6
Big Fletch replied to TilghmanPride's topic in KY Football (High School)
How about the 4 or 5 guys hitting a Russellville player on the Ballard Memorial sideline that were not ejected. One of them was not even dressed for the game. -
Does Jimmie Holder come back to Trigg?

I Coached for 15 years and we still practice in the evenings because even though farm work is not as prominent anymore our athletes were still working. The point I was making is that many coaches think it is important to dominate a student athletes calendar for most of the year excluding dead period and expect them to not miss a practice. I understand not missing a practice during normal preseason and in-season but this idea of not missing a June practice to go on a family vacation is ridiculous. I remember sitting in a conference with a multi State Championship winning Coach and him saying would I rather have a kid resenting me in August when I wouldn't let him miss a work out to go fishing with his grandfather in June. Some coaches need to ease up because if your system is so difficult that you are installing it in May then you probably will not be overly successful.

I read a quote on twitter yesterday that basically said that back in the glory days no one missed a high school practice, however, back in the good old days most good teams did not have to practice year around.

Coach Holder at Ballard Memorial is rumored to be the front runner at Graves. Their AD may need to do their homework on this one. -
Obviously you have never coached before because if you did you would understand the accusations on both Love and Ladson are the easiest ones to put on a well like coach in the community to fire them. I think both got the short end of the deal. As for the rest of your statement I have no knowledge of any of that so again I won’t make any comment. However, I will say this both Hoptown and Christian County have very capable coaches now and you should throw your support behind them instead of bashing them.

Don't know enough about the situation with Dixie Jones to make a comment about that. With the Love deal versus Ladsen deal it is a little more complicated then what you are trying to make it seem. Plus I am pretty sure that Coach LAdsen was not fired from his coaching position he just moved over to help at Hoptown when they hired the new coach. As for Coach Jaggers he seems to be rumored to always being a candidate in Western Kentucky but never actually makes the move. As for consistency there is no such thing in the Coaching industry any more.

Mr Region 2 Hype man here is the deal in all of the years I coached one of the questions people would ask when talking a bout a coach is would you let your boy play for him. The bottom line is this all of the coaches mentioned even the ones you obviously have an issue with are great coaches. Coach Clark, Coach Lovelace and Coach Ladson are all coaches that I would have been happy for my son to play for. Now are they human yes and if you want to pick at their flaws then go ahead but if you want to have success in that area you will let them Coach and see what they can do for the athletes in the area.
