Great hire by the Colonels. BW’s resume incudes being probably the best assistant coach in Ky Football history. He will flourish focusing on coaching football and not having to deal with all the peripheral stuff. Sneaky good, difference making hire in my opinion. He’s a really good guy and coach.

You gotta have Lorenzen play TE/WR/RB/QB and have Armstrong be the regular QB. Keep Armstrong on the field at WR/RB when Lorenzen is at QB or wildcat. You can get real creative with that and it would be a nightmare to prepare for as a defensive.

Nice write up… but you forgot Gabe Williams somehow. Is he transferring to a different school or something? I figured he would be RB1 going into this year. Also I feel like the Benke Bros could help fill out the OLine. Interesting oline point to make. Back in the 90s Highlands won state repeatedly with regular looking dudes playing OLine. They pulled all over and just did their jobs fast. The one year Highlands had an OLine with D1 studs we lost in the mud bowl. When Highlands beat Cincy St X there was that awesome photo of a 5-11 200 lb guy blocking a Notre Dame commit. The old Highlands OLine way could work again.

I traveled down when Pat Towles and the Birds came down maybe 10 years ago. Really nice set up. Classy fans as well. I was impressed.

If Highlands goes to the state championship game there is a decent chance I’m going to go. If it is Highlands vs Cov Cath in the final I am 100% going.

Rio is one of those players that improves over the year more than most players do. I’ve noticed this each year. He’s been really sharp.

I believe the three best teams are H CC and Boyle followed by a gap. So this is extremely possible.

Back in the 90s Greenup’s uniforms were almost identical to the Green Bay Packers uniforms. I was disappointed when I looked them up and they don’t do that anymore.

Scott Co is a really good team. The score is kind of a misrepresentation of the game. Highlands coaching really impressed me. They made all of the right adjustments. Congrats to Highlands for adapting and beating a really good team.
