Going to show my young age here, but the 2020 Double Doink in the LCA vs. Beechwood game will live in my mind forever. All of us were sure he was going to make that field goal. We were watching him drill them from 10 yards past that in warm ups. That game was one for the ages.

Wow.

Talk about stingy defense. Wow. I knew the defense was special, but didn’t realize they were that good this year.

Defense wins championships. I’d love to know the stat on how many points the 1st Team Defense gave up all season. 50-60? Maybe?

I know Boley is great, but watching the Mayfield vs. LCA film. He didn’t “WOW” me like I expected. He is a darn good QB and is worth the price of admission. But I wasn't blown away by him throwing the ball. Maybe I’m spoiled in getting to watch Hergott, and expect too much. But I can definitely see Hayden and the tigers having success airing it out.

Absolutely agree. See this being one of, if not the best game to happen this weekend.

Not sure if underdog is the way to put it. I think a lot feel both are evenly matched with Beechwood just barely getting the nod over Mayfield. As a tigers fan I know to never count out Mayfield until the clock says 0 in the 4th Quarter. We will see come Friday if the “underdog” stigma rings true.

Think this topic takes away from the game at hand. I know it’s an underlying story, but as as a Beechwood fan it’s in the past. I know it’s never the right thing to do, but we’ve all forgotten (or not talked about it for right now), and Lloyd fans can too, and then deal with it after the season is over. The game on Friday is the biggest story, and it’s a great one. I can’t wait to experience the atmosphere in Ft. Mitchell.

Yeah I’m just speculating. I could very well be wrong. I’m sure they’d just rather have people in the stands than at home. I partially agree with the homers comment. Talley and Murphy do a great job. It’s evident they are beechwood guys, but they always, always, always give credit to the opponent and all their players. I’ve heard far worse out there than those two. I’d say if you’re looking to watch/listen from home they might be your only option this Friday.

I don’t believe Beechwood likes to do live streams, so they can have ticket sales at the gate. One streaming service I can say they have is radio broadcast on Mixlr by Beechwood Sports Radio Network.

He’s not Mitchell Berger, but he is the not nearly as far off as people like to think. I don’t want to play the comparison game, but let’s just say, the Tigers are happy he is only a sophomore running like he is right now.

I agree with you. Like I said. I expect it to be a close game. No reason for it to not be. But I won’t be at all surprised if it’s a running clock.

I’d have to agree that defensive scheme will change this time. But Tigers run game hasn’t fell off nearly as far as others seem to think. Flaherty is a great Back. I see them having a balanced success come Friday. As a tigers bias, I hope it’s a blowout, but I expect a close game.

It’s definitely not IMPOSSIBLE, but I’d say there’s a slight chance. What gives indication that it won’t be to you?

Toughest game to pick. War Memorial is easily the hardest place to play, but LCA is the best team Mayfield will see unless they make it past this one. Gut is telling me LCA, but has been wrong plenty times before. You never count out the Cardinals at War Memorial.

If Beechwood plays Beechwood football, this can very well be a running clock game. This is where the Tigers thrive, deep into the playoffs. The discipline fundamental team coached by Rash will not give their opponent any sort of help. I expect this game to be chippy, as this game was the last time around, but the Tiger defense prevails yet again. Gimme 42-14, ROLL TIGAS!
