Whoever the coach may be, I hope they realize what a gem they will be coming into. There is no better time to build a foundation. I expect good things to come from the panthers football team for many years.

There’s been talk of Ludlow being on the up and up for a while. It’s finally coming true. The 1975 just opened on the corner by the stadium, showing a history for the athletics of Ludlow, while serving great food. The football field, along with the other facilities will be state of the art. The baseball field just go redone. Ludlow is growing as it should. If they could utilize the open space next to the river to build more housing, I could really see Ludlow becoming a place people move into for a long time. This job should get quite a few names, and very quality ones at that.

Am I wrong TP? We hear about transfers from every inch of the state… every year. Yet they can’t win the big one.

Beechwood Tigers have been hearing that for years. When you win the big one, then we can talk. LCA is the biggest underachieving team these last 3-5 years than any team I can think of in recent memory.

The best and worst thing about historical success is trying to live up to it. He follows a man who probably deserves a statue on the beechwood campus. The Tiger faithful want to keep the ball rolling, but how much higher can the peak of the mountain get? Rash just graduated a senior class that are 3x state champs in 2A, had the best W/L record in a 3 year span in BHS history at 39-3, and he was one of the intricate parts to a defense that gave up less than an average of 7 points a game in 2 seasons. Have to give Volker his time to get his footing. I expect great things from him at BW, because the powers that put him in this place, know a lot more than I ever will dream to know. I suspect a great career out of Volker when he is all said and done at BW, and I hope he makes great young men, not just great football players.

Yeah would make zero sense to go to a Wing-T with the amount of athletes they have at the wideout positions.

Hergotts son is a junior now I believe. Which makes sense for departure if that be the case. Berger’s final son graduates this year (Mitchell) so I’m not sure if that would be the reason of his departure or not.

As long as Hergott is still there, that won’t happen.

Love the front half of the schedule. Hate the back half of it. But what can you do when it’s your district. The tigers will be fine tuned come playoff time. I’m only nervous for how that last 5 affects their RPI.

I will not believe the hire until it comes from a Beechwood High School Source. A BHS Twitter, Facebook, etc. until then the job is still open.

He’s definitely has some time in, that is for sure.

Agree with all of that. But hard to see Hergott no longer being the play caller for the offense. No knock towards EE, but hasn’t their offensive play calling been not up to CCH standard as of late? If you had to choose one to call the offense, who do you take?

Rash was DC. An ideal hire would be a Defensive head coach to fill that, and keep Hergott at OC. Considering he’s been calling it for years.

Does anyone remember the little incident 2 years ago after BW beat CCH and Eviston and Hergott got a little chippy? Wonder if that was just a one time thing. I do know those two together could really keep BW right at the tip top of 2A. Interesting dynamic there.

One of the best in the state to ever do it. Wasn’t just coaching football for Rash, he cared about producing great young men for the community first. Sad to see him go, but wish him the best in his future endeavors and his health. He will be missed, visor, giddy up, and all. CSB.

They lose 8/11 starters on defense. Offense is much better off but still lots of spots to be filled. Having Hayden, and Flaherty sets them up in the backfield. Erdman and Cusick out wide. They will probably have the biggest adjustments to make up front.

I would say this is the farthest out I’d have the tigers from a state title in the last 4-5 years. But if anyone can get it done it’ll be Noel Rash and company. Expect them to still be a Semi-Finals team bare minimum.

Adds another dog to the top of the list. That’s for sure. 4-5 schools who can be real contenders every single year.
