I agree with what you said, but I hope the Colts can sustain their focus. Not only is Fern Creek a big threat to the Colts' hopes to win the 6th, PRP can't be ruled out either. They are sneaky dangerous. I hope they stay healthy and focused.

March 6th should be a big night for HS basketball. Lex Cath vs North Laurel + LIT finals in Louisville.

Tonight the Colts were playing with much more energy and team-work. Hopefully the players are beginning to understand their roles and are eager to contribute. There's still a long way to go for the Colts, but they're beginning to look like a cohesive unit.

I just read on Face Book that NFHS will not be allowed to stream any of the LIT games. I don't know if that's true, but I wish some arrangement had been made to stream the games so us "old folks" could watch. I'm very disappointed.

Nice win for the Colonels. DeSales really looked flat in the beginning. Way too many turnovers and as Admiral William "Bull" Halsey is reported to have said we: "couldn't hit a bull in the butt with a bass fiddle." - Cudos to the OC defense & their good 3-point shooting.

I do believe that Ballard deserves to be in the top 5 in the State polls. They have a strong team. Long and quick. Good outside shooters & agile big men. DeSales gave a good effort, but seemed to lose their confidence when Ballard made their big run in the 3rd Quarter. They still need to work on beating a full court press and defending the 3-point line. The Colts still have a few more tough opponents coming up, in Oldham Co., Doss, and CAL (in the opener of the LIT, if that is played as scheduled). I think DeSales deserves all the attention they have been getting. They are a very nice team & they're still improving.

Ballard wins 88-83. They are definitely the best team I have so far seen this season against the Colts. Even better than Cov Cath and E-Town.

Tied at the half 39 - 39. I can see why Ballard is rated so highly. They are big at every position and shoot from distance well. Luckily for the Colts, their 3-point shooting is much better tonight. Let's hope the trend continues in the 2 half.

I'm going to go with the Colts. I know I am a bit prejudiced in their favor, but I've watched a lot of their games this year. They are a really legit team and they have been getting better and better each game they play. I have not seen Ballard, but everyone is very high on them and they had one heck of a good team last year. They almost always have great teams. If the Colts lost this one I would not be surprised, but I would be disappointed. Lately they have been playing with a lot of confidence with key contributions from several other players besides Sekou Kalle, and Devin Perry. They have proven to me that they are much more than a 2-man team. If they can improve their 3 Point shooting, they're going to be really hard to beat. A win against Ballard would be a big confidence booster!! Good luck Colts!
