So what does "convene to consider action to" mean in this context? Must the KHSAA do these things? -

I think today's presentation and Q/A with Dr. Stack has helped us definitively determine one of the problems. -

I called 502-564-3141 and just hit 0. The lady that answered didn't even say Hello. She just said, "Are you calling to voice support and to say "let them play?" Haha. She said that she alone has already fielded over 400 calls this morning in support of letting them play. I also emailed every member: https://education.ky.gov/KBE/memb/Pages/default.aspx Let Them Play! -

I agree with you both on the waivers. I'm just saying that it's been part of the process to play baseball and basketball. If it needs to be part of the process to play football, then I'll sign it for football too. -

We've had 12,835 cases in KY for ages 0-29 and only 1 death. And we've had ZERO deaths for ages 10-19 with over 3,500 cases. The average age of death for COVID in the state of KY is the about the same as the regular average age of death for all causes. And, nearly 65% of deaths in KY from COVID have occurred in Long Term Care facilities. Almost 74% of our COVID fatalities in KY have occurred in people over the age of 70. My mom is 76 years old. She takes extra precautions because she is more susceptible just like she does with other viruses and colds and everything! Give me a waiver. I'll sign the waiver. I signed it for my kids to play baseball. I signed it for my kids to play AAU. I'll certainly sign it for my kids to play high school and middle school football and other sports. My kids' freedoms and liberties do not end where other kids' and families' fear starts. And please, by all means, if I see you at the BW3s or the community swimming pool or the little league baseball tournament, then don't tell me my kids can't go to school and can't play football. The hypocrisy is just too much take. -

So timely... I just received the following response to my inquiry about the counts: Thank you for reaching out. Please see response below that we received from Public Health: Thank you for your questions. Yes, some of the positives tests are from antibody testing. -

Are you 100% sure that the state is reporting only viral positives and not also including antibody/serology positives? The CDC itself and 11 states (Colorado, Delaware, Georgia, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Texas, Vermont and Virginia) were found to be conflating those numbers back in late May. Currently, when the state reports its total number of tests administered, it combines the total number of each type of test and shows the breakdown. However, when they report the total number of positives, they do not include the breakdown. They do include "probable" cases in the total positive count though. And when CNN reached out to the state of Kentucky in May to ask about conflating the two, the state of Kentucky did not provide a response. I've emailed the state myself to ask about this issue and have yet to receive a response. Help me out... Thanks in advance. -

When the CDC counts the common cold as a positive COVID case, the numbers are and will continue to be skewed. Here is the language copied directly from the CDC website: "A positive test result shows you may have antibodies from an infection with the virus that causes COVID-19. However, there is a chance a positive result means that you have antibodies from an infection with a virus from the same family of viruses (called coronaviruses), such as the one that causes the common cold." So, if you've had the common cold in the last 17 years, you could test positive for COVID and be included in the numbers. -

According to the CDC's own numbers, the 10yr average for the number of seasonal flu deaths in the state of Kentucky is 707 deaths per year. As is stands today, we have 671 COVID deaths. And, we know that the CDC is counting not only people that die FROM COVID but also people that die WITH COVID, i.e. comorbidities. This is obviously not about the virus at this point. -
Sam Vinson made 12 of 12 against CovCath last night. That performance ties the 9th Region Tournament record for "Most Continuous FT Made In A Game" set by Scott Draud in 1985 against CovCath. Also, Sam Vinson was 22-26 from the FT line in this year's 9th region tournament. The record for most Free Throws made in one tournament is 24, set by David Dinn of Boone County in 1985 when Dinn made 24 of 31 attempts.

In my opinion Highlands and St Henry could be interchangeable at 3 and 4. Beechwood should be 5. -
