Johnson Central is really good. Very disciplined don’t beat themselves. Huge offensive line and a four year starter at quarterback who is awesome. He reads the defense on the option as good as anyone I have seen. If the opponent doesn’t stay at home and take care of their assignment he will take it to the house. I still say Male, Trinity Boyle a distant third and Johnson Central has to be right on their heels. I’m looking forward to that matchup in Lexington 1st weekend in December.

Yes it is. Will miss inside LB Seth Mounts. He was ejected in the Lawrence County game and will be ineligible for the Pike Central contest. May be close at first, but Belfry wins going away

I believe the middle school is dealing with a couple of significant injuries. Quarterback and running back. I watched them play Pikeville middle and they looked pretty good.

Seems like Dixon is in the process of healing up, Mounts the inside linebacker seems healthy and Coleman is getting lots of playing time at quarterback. Birchfield is an excellent corner and has done a good job filling in for Dixon at halfback. They all should be fine tuned and ready to go come playoff time. If healthy they will be dangerous.

Belfry in a running clock. Belfry is a class program they don’t humiliate anyone. Lot of reserves will see plenty of action. Hopefully Dixon and injured players will heal up and start getting ready for the playoffs and a big date with Johnson Central at Belfry. Although it is not a playoff game, it is an awesome environment when they get together.

Probably win 4A. Fall in line behind Male, Trinity and St X. Don’t know much about 5A.

May have watched 1A and 3A champs tonight. Congratulations to Pikeville. Down by two touchdowns they fought their way back into the game. When Belfry gets Dixon healthy and hopefully Mounts the linebacker is ok, they are going to be a very good football team

Was just saying that if Belfry goes up 17 - 0, with Belfrys ball control offense it would have been difficult for Boyle, no way could they match touchdown for touchdown and win. Again nothing against Boyle they have an outstanding team, but that would have been a big hole to climb out of.

I was always a big fan of Jerry Claiborne who coached at KY in the 80s. He would always play the old ifin game. If this happened if that happened and we all do it, this is what makes these forums interesting and entertaining. If the touchdown had been allowed putting Belfry up 17 - 0 it’s over turn out the lights. Boyle County had already begun to unravel but with the interference call and the two turnovers (gifts) that Belfry gave them (turnovers at the 26 and 13). Boyle got their composure back and pulled away. If they play 10 times Boyle probably wins 9 of them, but, this is one that Belfry had in their grasp and couldn’t seal the deal.
