Belfry is in their customary spot of making deep playoff runs while Pike County Central is looking for a quarterfinal berth and also their first ever win against their cross-county rival. Belfry struggled with Pike Central early in the first game before blowing out the Hawks in the second half. Pike Central started 7-1 but dipped with late season losses to Belfry and Breathitt before winning their first round game over Lawrence County with little trouble.
