Yes it did!! I talk too a lot of the players and they were upset,mad and emotions running. My sons are on the team and they were very emotional after the game. I told them to keep their head up and reiterated that one loss doesn't make or break their season. All I can say is that they wanted this game badly.

The bad thing about this game is I have family in Flemingsburg and I went to schools at Montgomery county in the 80s. This game is a toss up to me I said Fleming by 7 but I can also say Montgomery by 7. Let's lace it up and play football!!!!!!

Fleming could have also have been 3-1 with a loss to Mason. If Mason made the right choice (on a 4th and 1)they could have 1 loss. But it it didn't go that way so my hunch is Fleming by 7.

Montgomery loves to run the football. They can go threw the air. About 85 players only 2 or 3 go both ways . Huge line. Watch them play Breathitt county they really fly to the ball.

The final score surprised me in a rivalry game! Will be in Montgomery county when they play Fleming county. Since Mason county has bye week. A chance to go back home. a home cooked meal from momma.

I would say Montgomery County but you never know when it comes to a rivalry. I played for Montgomery in the 80's (86)and we were favored but Clark got us in a close game so this is a toss up but at the same time I am going with the Indians. Cardinals will be ready though.

I believe Fleming wins by a bunch.

I was at game. Don't have full stats of game but what I can say is .... Mason defense was stingy yesterday. Mason offense scored on 4 passes 2 runs and a defense int. Neither offense could run the ball so Mason went to the air a lot. Mason offense can be explosive at times.

Coach B you would have been proud of the defense today. Really stingy today.

Defense was on fire today and our offense finally got untracked.

Mason county Royals vs Rowan County Vikings 1pm Sept 2. @ Morehead State Football field.

Will the Royals bounce back against Rowan or will they linger from a heartbreaking loss to cross-town rival Fleming .

I am going to go on record by saying if you have to win with transfers over homegrown kids then we have a problem. I am not from Mason or Clark county either. I am from Montgomery county and I went to school with Igo dad. Congrats to Clark county but I am not a fan of transfers to boost a specific sport. Don't care if it's basketball, baseball or any type of sport. Yes I am Mason22 only because I have a kid that go to Mason.
