You are providing Holy Cross a lot of bulletin board material. I think Newport has very good talent. They are also not consistent. The strategy against NewCath in the 4th quarter to go into a stall was just bad coaching and that's why I don't think they beat Holy Cross. Coach Schrand will find a way to frustrate Newport and they will fall a part.

Carr was the one that molded that group. The current coach inherited what Carr built. See if they get back to state this year! I think not!

So he teaches discipline, hard work and teammates-first, but parents rule the roost at Scott HS and say you're too tough on our kids? Carr is perfect for Holmes, they need the tough love that the people at Scott can't handle. And those previous assistants must not be loyal if that's their stance.

NewCath has won district championship nine straight years. They had beaten Newport 16 straight times until the Wildcats pulled one out about three weeks ago, but that was on Newport's court. This is a neutral court, NewCath and Hall get revenge and make it 10 straight district titles. NewCath 58, Newport 51.
