  2. You now have me questioning why I am wrong, but... I love that comparison.
  3. Congrats to Ty Bryant on being named 2nd team All-SEC! I believe he was the only Cat to be named to any of the teams.
  4. I made a minor adjustment, but all in all agree. Oddly, I feel very similar about Stoops as I do with Cal. Both were guys who had A LOT of excitement coming in and delivered. I think both were also guys who were given contracts that not only hurt the University, but hurt the coaches chances of leaving on good terms (I have no pity on Stoops for the money he is going to make to not work, but that buyout all but guaranteed Kentucky would be his last stop). I think you're right about his Iowa defensive mind getting in the way at times. His defenses were incredible, and the production he was able to get out of guys like Josh Allen, Big Z, Danny T, Bud Dupree, Mike Edwards, etc. was amazing. But I think that Iowa mind also held back his ability to adjust with the offensive side of the game and he was unwilling to change (much like somebody else). I am very grateful for what Stoops (and Cal) did for the program, but I am very excited about the next chapters.
  5. I'll be in the minority with you. He adjusted his scheme to fit what he had. I also think he was held back by Stoops. There is a reason that Georgia tried prying him away from us.
  6. IF the Bengals lose this weekend, these are the scenarios that the Bengals could still win the division. The games highlighted in ORANGE can be interchanged as long as the records stay the same. 7. If you enjoy wasting time by giving yourself false hopes as much as I do, ESPNs playoff machine is a lot of fun. Even with a loss to Buffalo, we still still have a chance! https://www.espn.com/nfl/playoffs/machine
  8. Very tough schedule next year. Cats fans should be happy with 4-8 next year.
  9. So bad. Somebody else needs to be fired from there.
  10. Color me shocked. I guess only 1 year of play calling had teams scared. Who does Penn State go after now? Brohm?
  11. Also believe Pat Biondo could be a big get if it is true that Oregon's DC is staying put. https://goducks.com/sports/football/roster/staff/pat--biondo/1357
  12. I believe the starting QB next year will come down to 1 of 3. Cutter Boley Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele Austin Novosad
  13. Have also heard some rumors about the freshman from Cal (Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele). I believe he was originally competing for the starting job at Oregon, lost it, transfered to Cal and had a pretty decent season considering what was around him.
  14. If true (I have no reason to doubt you, this is just the first time I have seen this), this is HUGE. Hampton I believe was 2025 recruiter of the year. Not to mention the fact the he and Stein have familiarity working with one another. This is a VERY big addition to come with Stein.
  15. I know you asked @futurecoach but I'll give my opinion. Hartline and Stein were 1A 1B for me. The benefit of getting Hartline would be his dominance in the pipeline that we are already recruiting. Stein doesn't have that around here, and there have been some questions with his recruiting. The benefit of getting Stein as opposed to Hartline in my opinion is that this may not just be a stepping stone job for Stein. In a day where a lot of coaches are staying put (Vandy, Indiana, Missouri, Nebraska, etc.), maybe Stein stays with the team he grew up cheering for.

  20. If Florida St. opens up, I think that could be an incredible fit for Stein.

Tech James Franklin Arkansas Rhett Lashlee I also believe that Trinity & UofL Grad Will Stein will be a hot name, but will stay at Oregon until a better fitting job opens for him. I also think it would be funny to see what would happen if Urban Meyer were to try his hand at the college game again (looking at Florida or Penn St.). I wonder if his coaching style would work in todays college game with NIL and the transfer portal.

  24. I'm not @futurecoach, but it makes sense to me. I agree with what @sportsfan41 said about Wilson losing a step. In addition, it make sense that a new D Coordinator would want to play his rookies to get them experience as you are trying to build your defense. It makes even more sense to me when there isn't a drop-off in LB play when Wilson isn't on the field. Unfortunately for Logan, we don't have very much depth at the position so I do not see the Bengals dealing him. Trey on the other hand...
