  1. Great game! Spencer County had them beat, but number 0 took over and pulled it out for South Oldham. Spencer County looked great. They leave everything on the floor and so young. Burns is a very good coach. Looks like Spencer County might make some noise a year earlier than I thought.
  2. Not a South Oldham fan, but to me they may be a top 10 team. They got to the final eight last year and I don't see a drop off. They are killing people. Best three pointing team I have ever seen. Some of their scores are deceiving considering they play their JV players the second half. I'm a Spencer County fan and I don't see how you can defend them. They are loaded with three point shooters. Very dangerous team.
  3. 5 wins in a row for Spencer County. Getting better!
  4. If I remember correctly Jacob King is the best player on Trinity's team so if Trinity beats a high level team like Fern Creek without him then when he gets back they are pretty daggone good.
  5. Trinity must be pretty good. Are they still missing their point guard? I believe he is to return soon.
  6. Spencer County controlled this game most of the way. Up by 15 most of the game, but didn't close out very well. Still good win for the Bears who are now 5-3. Very young team getting better and better every week. Fun team to watch.
  7. Bowling Green is legit. Everybody else is playing for second. I have no dog in the fight. They are just that good. Zion Harmon (8th grader) is crazy good.
  8. Oldham already has a loss don't they?? My vote goes to South Oldham.
  9. Scoring error. Spencer County lost. They stayed within 10 early in the 3rd quarter then South Oldham put on a shooting clinic. The South Oldham team I saw tonight was very very good.
  10. Spencer County just played South Oldham. They were within 10 to start the third quarter--Then South Oldham put on a shooting display and won by 29. From what I saw tonight they are the team to beat forget about Anderson County.
  11. Bearcats??? Three point shooting from the Bears will help. Spencer County has to be one of the youngest teams in the state and are very well coached. Next year Spencer County will be very dangerous. In their last game against Desales they were down 12 starting the fourth quarter--two 8th graders, two sophmores, and Wheeler brought the team back. Future is very bright.
  12. Spencer County down 12 to start fourth quarter and came roaring back.
  13. Kids???? They have one transfer. The other 8th grader is homegrown in Spencer County. He made a good move considering the Spencer County district is Distinguished Academically and Shelby County is well beneath that. Be happy for him.
  14. Spencer County is an extremely young team. Most of the fourth quarter had two eighth graders, sophomore, junior, and one senior battling one of the top backcourts in the 7th region. I really believe Burns is one of the best coaches in the state that people don't know about. They will soon enough.
  15. Spencer County beat Holy Cross 69-45. Spencer County loaded with young talent.
  16. KOB Jamboree at Fairdale High School November 19 Varsity Games (Large Gym) 10:30 a.m. Beth Haven vs. Whitefield 12:00 p.m. Male vs. South Oldham 1:30 p.m. Hopkinsville vs. Boyd Co. 3:00 p.m. Fairdale vs. Daviess Co. 4:30 p.m. Holy Cross vs. Spencer Co. 6:00 p.m. Iroquois vs. Marion Co. 7:30 p.m. Manual vs. North Oldham
  17. The only comparison I made between Conley and the big guy for Anderson County was their size. Conley is a beast and will be a superstar. Most people in the state that know anything about the 2021 class know this. Not just me giving my opinion. The other eighth grader Whitlock and Conley will be getting minutes on varsity not just riding the pine and as I said earlier the reason for the enthusiasm is that the junior class is very good also. Year after next will be the year with possible upsets this year. Conley is a athletic freak. Dunking this summer before he started eighth grade. Spencer County played very well this summer in the summer league with the two eighth graders getting significant minutes. Quality players in the junior class. Come to some games this year and you will be shocked. Guaranteed.
  18. BigVMan23, I will have to respectfully disagree with quite a bit of what you said. I was at that 8th grade game. You all have a very big kid in the middle. We had zero inside players. We could not stop him. That was your whole offense. You say that was one of your all's worst performances. Well, there is a reason for that. We were a very good defensive team. Our guards actually had a poor shooting performance. The reason I say that it would be a blowout because of the new kid is because the one advantage you had would have been completely negated by Sam Conley who is the same size as the big kid you all had and generally considered a top five player in the state. Common sense tells you that it would not have been pretty. Nighthawk, Good post. Coach Burns has never had the talent and still almost pulled off a few miracles. The talent is there now. The year after next Spencer will be in the mix for the region. The two 8th graders (Conley, and Whitlock) aren't typical. They will actually be contributing this year and by next (their freshman year) it should really take off. Not to mention a 7th grade African at the middle school projected to be 6 ft 9 in the pipeline. Burns has the talent we shall see what happens. I said it here first.
  19. Bigvman23. Double checked the score of that 8th grade Anderson County vs Spencer game. Spencer lost by 10. Keep in mind the two best Spencer County players were 7th graders playing in 8th grade game. Throw Conley in with them and it's a blowout the other way. 7th graders vs 8th graders.
