  1. Wow, didn't mean to strike a nerve. Just making observations. Can you please refute some of the facts that I have proposed. What have I said at anytime that isn't reasonable. Spencer is right where they should be in my opinion--5th with a question about 4th. You don't offer any facts. Collins fan???
  2. Looking over scores and noticed that Collins beat a four win Harrison County team by 7 points. I also noticed that most of their players are back playing??
  3. Thanks for the info, just trying to form an opinion on them since I hadn't seen them.
  4. Not trying to disrespect Walton Verona, but are they really the 4th best team in the region. They are one of the top teams in the region that I have not seen play, but some of their scores in the past several games make me wonder. They beat Trimble County by 8 and Henry County last night by 14?? I can understand having an off night, but these two games are head scratchers to me. I could make an argument that Spencer County, North Oldham, and Anderson are better teams. I mean Spencer County just beat Henry by 30 and it could have been 50 if they had wanted. Like I said, not trying to get anybody upset, just an honest observation. I haven't seen Walton Verona play, but I have seen all the other top teams.
  5. Go to sleep PAPA-- it's past your bedtime. The pecking order has flipped. Your rumors are all wrong and two of them ARE homegrown. The other is from Eastern Kentucky. All legal. Burns has three weeks to prepare for Anderson. Not good for Anderson.
  6. Spencer didn't play well. Only up four starting the fourth and then began to dominate in the fourth. The rivalry has probably heated up a little with the Conley transfer so they weren't going to lay down.
  7. If anybody wants to know anything about Conley and the other 8th graders I'll be glad to answer their questions. The rest of you spouting off rumors and hearsay really are clueless. Anyway, Spencer just beat Shelby County 72-57 so the District Tournament is set. Collins vs Shelby and Spencer County vs Anderson.
  8. Collins will play Shelby County and Spencer County will play Anderson County in the first round of the district tournament.
  9. Please show me where I said Spencer County could win the region this year?? I said in a given game they are talented and coached well enough to win against anyone in the region. You've never heard this much about Spencer County in 59 years, because Spencer County has never had the talent that it currently has along with the coach that can get them where they need to go. Finally, I think it's funny how Shelby County claims this ownership of the Conley kid when he was born and raised in Eastern Kentucky and moved to Shelby four years ago. Shelby was just a stop along the way to his resting spot---Spencer County. LOL. Next year, will be the year Spencer County has a real shot.
  10. When you say Spencer is NOT BEATING any of the top three--I think that is comical when they lost to each by single digits. You only have to be better on one night. Moral victory or not it is logical to think that Spencer has a shot based on previous games. They were in the game against all three. You can make excuses about Dom not playing half the game, but I was at the game and Spencer played horrible. Missed countless point blank shots and wide open threes. I actually think Spencer has the best shot of upsetting a healthy Collins.
  11. Spencer has already proven that they can play close to the big three. They could lose to Anderson in the first round or send one of the top three home. It should be fun to see how it all plays out.
  12. Haven't seen Walton Verona, but that score makes me question their current ranking of 4th in the region by 8th Region Warrior. Were they missing some players? I've been watching their scores and trying to get an idea of how good they really are. I've seen just about everybody in the region, but them. That score is kind of shocking.
  13. Both Bullitt East and CAL are very good teams. Tough out for anyone in a few weeks. When healthy Bullitt East has been ranked in the top 20 this year.
  14. Could have been a 50 point win. Henry County not very good.
  15. Some people on here were questioning how good Christian Academy was on here. I think they said that the game against Eastern would tell us how good they are. Well???? Might be a little better than some of you thought. I'm not a Christian Academy fan, but I know when I see a pretty good team.
  16. Putting them on a "Higher mountain than they deserve"?? I said they were the 5th best team in the region. Name a team that should take their place at number 5??? Also, you left out the good wins by Spencer-Desales, AT Anderson County. If you lose by single digits to the top three teams in the region I would say you aren't far off, but that's just me.
  17. That Trinity win is kind of misleading. Weren't they missing two starters? I mean take two starters off any team and they aren't going to be as good.
  18. I think you are discounting South Oldham and Collins when you say they have played a weak schedule. Both of CALS losses were within 10 to those teams.
  19. Yeah! What he said. I think you can look at losses and who they are against and learn quite a bit. But if you look at only who they have beat then you are missing something. It would make sense that if they lost by 40 to Ballard and then got some players back and lost by 8 then maybe they are quite a bit better.
  20. Perplexed?? I guess you haven't followed CAL this year? Third best record in the 7th region. Lost by 8 to Ballard. I would say they are top 5 in a VERY good region. I wouldn't say Spencer is "supposed to be a top 5 team" They should be the fifth best team in the region. Would you please name a team that should take their spot besides Oldham, South Oldham, Collins, and maybe Walton Verona (haven't seen them play)? I am perplexed by your perplexion (is that a word?)
