2018 Gardner Law King of the Bluegrass
Good point but also as the K.O.B. poster on here stated, they can't have that many teams from out in the state. They want people who are going to be crowds, this is probably the first time Spencer County has been in the K.O.B. and it is a 30-45 minute drive for their fans.

Found it, Randy Brady is the new kid at brentwood academy. Looks like he plays AAU for Team Thad, same program that KyKy Tandy plays for. Future150 has Brady ranked 15th nationally in 2021 class, says he has offer from Georgia Tech & Florida State. Nice addition to the K.O.B. field. Seems the Nashville teams always fare well at the K.O.B. with Brentwood Academy recent success and the success that Christ Presbyterian Academy had.

2018 Gardner Law King of the Bluegrass
I seen on twitter last week that Brentwood Academy got a big time transfer top 20 in his class it said, I can't remember the name of the kid or what class though but they were showing clips of him and Fitzgerald in summer games. He was younger than Fitzgerald.

So in other words, no Clinton County wasnt considered cause the guy thought you was talking about Jackson County, Harlan or Harlan County and Clinton County. He didn't realize you was talking about Clinton County and Jackson Harlan the player who will more than likely lead the state in scoring this season. I do agree though they wouldn't be a big draw at the K.O.B. and that would be over a 2 hour drive easily probably more for Clinton County fans.

KBA no longer operating the Kentucky Basketball Academy at 273 Ruccio Way
I’m not sure exact why would be served, don’t know legal system that well but was told back then it was because couldn’t pay for their lease or what not and they as told 30 days and to get out. This was before the AAU 15u - 17u state tournaments. So whatever the correct legality term would be that’s why, but they are no longer occupants of the building on Ruccio Way. One would assume they have known this for while to and still promoting tournaments under the KBA Sports Inc name I am sure that they won’t be scrambling for gyms to host in, im sure they have their rentals spots worked out. Stinks that no longer KBA facility right now but a business venture they will probably make more money than have over the last 18 months because without a lot of teams and letting a lot in free they still had staff to Pay and bills. Now as a Business they will only rent enough courts from people they need and won’t have to worry about the rest of the bills electric, water etc.

KBA no longer operating the Kentucky Basketball Academy at 273 Ruccio Way
Not really sure what the surprise is, you were in the conversation on the AAU board May 15 when we was discussing this very thing and they had been served papers then and would be shut down very soon. Basically when Tom Bower left the KBA went to a dump. Awful refereeing and customer service, with Tom it was first class now it is a complete joke. I guess the KBA name is still going to try and live on and host tournaments at various sites throughout Lexington like LCA & Imani Baptist Church etc according to their press release. Interesting to see if someone buys the building and tries to keep the sports going inside the KBA or will they just do away with the sports and turn it into an office space.

Estill County's Doty Twins sign with Berea College
Glad to see these two get to play at the next level. Both worked their tails off and it paid off taking Estill to state, that didn’t happen over night, years for that moment.

Open Job: North Bullitt
Anything new on this position? I have heard a couple names from the 8th and 4th region but that is about the extent of it.

Zion Harmon to Marshall County?
Correct, Fredrick lived in Ohio. Wherever he ends up, no coach is not going to play him if he is a citizen like any one else in the school why would they not. Have you seen the article in the Lexington herald yet? I love billy hicks response saying he would love to have some interest there and appreciates the Harmon’s putting them in the mix. Here is the link if you haven’t seen it. Zion Harmon could transfer to another Kentucky high school or out-of-state prep school | Lexington Herald Leader

Zion Harmon to Marshall County?
2014-2015, DJ Jenkins played at Harrison county then his senior season moved to Scott County and played. He played a handful of games for the Cardinals and was then ruled ineligible so he went back to Harrison county and finished his senior season on the court. Jenkins played 10 games for Scott County and 17 for Harrison including a 1 point regional semi final loss. Ironically Jenkins averaged 14.3 ppg for both teams

Zion Harmon to Marshall County?
Not sure. Only high profile kid I have ever known to be ruled ineligible and stay ineligible was Darryl Hicks when he moved from a Shelby Co to Trinity. Hicks scores 30+ vs Ballard as a freshman at state before transferring and sitting out his whole sophomore season at Trinity and playing just his final two years where he would go on to win the 2012 state title with Trinity. His senior season in 2013 they lost to again Ballard in the regional final. He only played three seasons in high school, once he won it all, the other two times Ballard ended his season.

Open Job: Augusta
I have heard the name John Michael Reitz thrown around on this one. Believe he is PE certified as well which is the position vacated by Kirk.

Zion Harmon to Marshall County?
^^^^^^ If the Kids family physically moves to Marshall County then the KHSAA has no grounds to stand on and wouldn’t even rule ineligible because they know would be eligible in court. Trace Young played at 4 Kentucky High schools. Has anyone else played for more?

Jack Edelin to Ballard
Louisville is open enrollment for JCPS. Some kids have to get on the bus to Go to certain schools at 5:30 AM. Once you start high school, if you transfer then you have to go to your home district, not sure where Edelin is but I believe is home district is Ballard.

Jack Edelin to Ballard
One of the top incoming freshman in state, Jack edelen says he is going to play for Ballard. Edelen Dad was assistant at Male last season and former North oldham coach.

Bryan Station hires Nimbo Hammonds as boys hoops coach.
Hammonds played at Bryan Station then went on to play at George Washington where he scored over 1200 points and 500 rebounds. They lost to Michigan and the Fab 5 in the NCAA tournament sweet 16 his sophomore year. Runs the Charlotte Court AAU Program in Lexington and has also been an assistant coach at various places over the years including Lexington Catholic & Bryan Station and was head coach of Lexington Traditional Middle School. Great hire by Station and well respected in the state but most importantly the city. In my opinion, this is a homerun hire to counter the facilities and benefits of the new Douglass High School.
