Never heard that name. What is his background, resume?

Hammonds played at Bryan Station then went on to play at George Washington where he scored over 1200 points and 500 rebounds. They lost to Michigan and the Fab 5 in the NCAA tournament sweet 16 his sophomore year.

Runs the Charlotte Court AAU Program in Lexington and has also been an assistant coach at various places over the years including Lexington Catholic & Bryan Station and was head coach of Lexington Traditional Middle School.

Great hire by Station and well respected in the state but most importantly the city. In my opinion, this is a homerun hire to counter the facilities and benefits of the new Douglass High School.
