Scott petitioned and begged to get out of it and the school board said yes to ending it under the assumption that it may be another small tool to help build Scott's enrollment without ending open enrollment in the school system. Fact.

This was a SK JV vs. Scott Varsity at the end of the 1st quarter. Scott's Varsity beat SK's JV 7-0 in the final 3 quarters. Very very boring game to watch.

Hunter Gribble - SS - Holmes. Played some varsity last year. Should be good.

Haven't heard much about a Holmes player in years. Good for them. I hope Mr. Gulley steps up as a leader and Holmes can start to compete again. One player does not make the team but one player can lead the team in the right direction.

If Highlands has so much talent why have they lost 7 games? If Dixie has so much talent why have they lost 4 games? If Campbell has so much talent why have they lost 6 games. Come on.. Give a little guy some credit every once in awhile.

Thoroughly understand the concept of power rankings and the Indians are definitely more powerful than Campbell, Dixie, and Highlands in my opinion. Opinions cannot be wrong just misguided such as those who think differently than myself.

I agree that Beechwood has a very good team IN THEIR CLASS and probably in 2A as well. Don't forget that 3 TD's called back for penalties could've put the Tigers on the other side of the scoreboard against HC but that is football and the Tigers got the W. It doesn't matter if BW was up on CC or not. It's a 4 quarter game. The simple fact of the matter is the BW beat HC head to head. That's why I didn't say anything negative about the Tigers place in the rankings. 5-4 or 6-3 should Trump 1-8, 2-7, or 3-6 any day. It's all about the names on the jerseys here though.

Not on the wagon. Just think they are underrated on this poll. HC could run the table and never get any respect. It goes the other way as well. Highlands goes 2-7 and beats a poor Grant County team and a mediocre Cooper team and they are still ranked in the Top 10 because of the names on their jerseys. A case could be made for Campbell, Dixie, or Highlands to be off this list and a case could be made to leave them on but to leave a team off with clearly a better record and more momentum in their class is obviously unfairly biased. At the end of the day this poll means nothing. Zero. It is just an opinion from one person. I have my opinions as well and Campbell and Highlands aren't in it.

Actually I have zero ties to HC. I've seen every team on the list this year and feel as though I have a solid opinion of every one of them. No Homer here.

I wouldn't say that. You get outside of 8 or 9 and your reaching but the top 8 or 9 are better and than Campbell, Boone, Dixie without a doubt. Advantage or disadvantage is that HC plays ironman football so those 8 or 9 are on the field all the time. They need help at QB. The kid is serviceable but not a standout.

That is my opinion because of where we stand at this point in the year. Campbell County beat New Cath - That was in Week 2 - COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SEASON. Campbell has gotten progressively worse as the season has gone on to the point that they lost to Boone who got their first win in, what, 3 years. In your scenario then Boone should be ranked because they beat Campbell. I don't think so. LOL!!! They play now and NewCath wins by 30. New Cath shut out Holy Cross 21-0 - Granted NewCath won but not as convincingly as some thought. NewCath beat HC 31-14 in 2011 when HC returned the favor in the playoffs and won state. While irrelevant for the most part in this conversation, it shows that it can be done and NewCath is not completely invincible to Koz and the Indians. Dixie was within 2 of Cov Cath at halftime, and ended up losing by 23 - This speaks for itself. Shut down the run for Dixie, which HC can definitely do with Barnes and Abernathy at LB and you win the game. CovCath made adjustments and it obviously worked. Plus I never said HC could beat Covcath. Especially right now. CC is that good. Beechwood, on the other hand, lost to Cov Cath by 34 points - CovCath only enters this conversation because they played both Beechwood and Dixie but, in my eyes, is irrelevant because this game is a rivalry game and carries a little different weight. yet still beat Holy Cross 40-33 - Holy Cross lost this game in Week 4 AND should have won but had 3 TD's called back due to penalties. Play it in Week 10 or 11 and I think it is a similar outcome without the same Indian mistakes just the other way around with the Tribe taking the win by a TD or so. I stand by my initial statement and analysis and I think you missed big on this poll this week.

Highlands on their chests. Nobody is intimidated at all by seeing Dixie on the front of the jersey no matter how good or bad either are.

Okay Seriously???? Holy Cross smokes Lloyd 42-0 and Campbell loses to lowly Boone and Holy Cross can't break the Top 10??? And yes. Holy Cross definitely beats Campbell and Boone. Matter of fact, I think the beat Dixie and have a 50/50 shot of beating Highlands this year with Barnes.They shouldn't be trending up. They should be there. Totally missed on that one.

Baseball is a funny game like that and unlike football. Don't give it away before the season begins. It comes down to who's hot and who's cold at the end of the season.

Blowout for the Tribe.

Defense looked great. Offense struggled badly. Hope the freshman QB is the heir apparent after Shearer because Farfsing is not anywhere near the next in line. As the season has progressed his struggles have gotten worse.

I labeled this game as a pick em. I am really surprised by the score. Sounds like the Juggs lived up to their history and gave up as the season progressed. I don't say that in a mean way. I just mean that this is kind of a recurring theme with Lloyd. If folks remember the year that HC won State they lost to Beechwood and NCC in the regular season. Not saying the Tribe will definitely win it all but as a lifelong Indian, YOU GOTTA BELIEVE!!!

It's a Pick em!!

Not to take it away from Boone but how bad is Campbell really. The only light at the end of the tunnel for Campbell is the train. Their JV and Freshman teams struggle badly too.

And I take it that you take no umbrage to me saying that Lloyd and HC should be on there before Campbell. Campbell has played pretty much the same schedule as the blue birds. Is there a closet blue bird fan in Park Hills? LOL!!!

If I say yes it turns into an argument. If I say no then I've countered my argument. The simple fact of the matter is that they don't play each other so we'll never know. The other simple fact of the matter is that the blue birds are not even competitive and may (MAY) even be last in their district after this weekend. Lloyd and HC are competitive and haven't had the total season long breakdown that has happened to the blue birds. Do these 2 beat the blue birds? Who knows. Are they both better teams than the blue birds given all factors? Absolutely.

I am assuming the blue birds make this list because they wear the name "Highlands" on their jersey. No other reason, even schedule, could be logically explained. They are down there with the Holmes, Scotts, Daytons, Bellevues, and Boones of NKY. Same for Campbell County after seeing them play. I think that both of these atrocious teams could easily be replaced with Lloyd and Holy Cross. The little guys, other than Beechwood and Newcath get no love on BGP.

Ethan is incredible. My son played on the same team with him for awhile. Kid is the real deal.
