I’m a die hard cowboys fan but the only way for Dak to have a chance at success is for Jerry to get rid of Garrett and Linehan.
That still may not help him though. If I was Jerry I’d go after Sam Bradford. At this point it wouldn’t hurt anything besides Dak’s feelings.
This team will be interesting to watch. I think early on they will struggle to fill the spots of Eric Johnson and Marcus Ashford. The hustle of Aaron Maggard will probably be hard to fill as well. That being said, I expect Travis Strings to step up tremendously and don’t be surprised to see Eric’s little brother Caleb Johnson to be a under the radar breakout player.
I’m more convinced that Douglass will come out on top. Especially after Scott County being upset tonight. Then again it could be the spark the Cardinals need heading into the final stretch of the season
The real question is, when was the last time a team started the season 1-6 and won state? Honestly I don’t see Trinity do much of anything come playoff time. That’s just my personal opinion though.
An 0-4 team doesn’t need to be ranked just because they played competitive 3 games. The Cleveland Browns played several competitive games last season and still lost every game. Besides St. X, the rest of Trinity’s schedule is less than stellar. It could easily be compared to the 1st 4 games Frederick Douglass.
If Trinity were to get a win this week, the only other quality in state opponent they have left is St. X. That being said, it’s hard to rank them in the top 5 even if they were to get a win over St. X. The rest of the schedule is highly questionable.
I love the running clock. Once a game get so far out of hand it becomes boring and no one is there for a boring game. Fans get irritable and start leaving
