I think what the original poster is trying to say is this is Mason County's best chance to win the region it's going to have. I agree completely with everything you have said, they are definitely going to have their work cut out for them but I think they are a solid baseball team. They only lost 3 seniors, and are completely tearing it up in fall ball right now. They are no where near my favorite in the 10th but definitely will be my sleeper pick as the season approaches.

All in All I think this is really accurate in terms of pre-season rankings. Also, I think the top 3 players in the region are all interchangeable and could see any of these 3 being the best player in the region at season end!

Looks like the Pig Williams injury will cause him to miss around 4-5 weeks of practice time, but he should be back and ready to go by the season opener or at worse early in the season which is great news to the Mason County fan base.

The Royals just have to find a way to put a whole game together. The team is very limited in numbers do to a lot of injuries throughout the season. A lot of young talent just needs time to grow and mature. Royals win this one 20-14

Talked to him today, said he would be 100% by the time the season starts. The crutches are completely precautionary. And as for the transfer talk, all that is behind him and he is 100% with Mason County for his senior season

Mason County will finally be able to play 4 quarters of football, and will get its first win of the season 20-14

He's still accepting offers up to this point, I'd say he's trying to focus on this week before really deciding where he'd like to attend next fall.

Really think that by the end of the season Mason County could be not only the favorite to win the district, but a favorite to compete for the region title as well. A lot of young talent on this team. I agree with everyone else right now, by saying the 39th on paper is a toss up.

Mason County should get a win on senior night against West Union (OH) and maybe an upset of one of the upcoming district foes

This might be "my heart" talking but I really don't see how we can keep the Mason County girls off this list. Extremely talented and return every single player off the state semi-finalist team this past season. Really think they will do BIG things this year.

I could see a young Mason County team led by senior guard Pig Williams as a serious contender in the 10th as the season progresses. Also could definitely see Scott High as a sleeper too, an extremely dangerous team when they shoot the ball well

Really think the Royals have a strong chance to compete at next weeks state golf tournament. The team is playing there best golf of the season so far, and is extremely confident after their 8th Region performance. They are looking to do something that hasn't been done in 50 years at Mason County and bring home a state championship for golf. Being lead by Senior standout Tyler Lippert who has had an amazing season thus far with an 8th Region Individual Championship and Junior BJ Knox who finished inside the top 20 last year at state. I'm not saying the Royals can beat St. Xavier but I like their chances to finish inside the top 5.
