It's a great weekend for high school football in Nky. Friday night it's Ryle vs SK and Sat night it's Cooper vs Conner. I think SK wins by 21+.

I see a long line of BMW's leaving early similar to the Cooper game. Another long weekend at the country club for the Ryle faithful.

This game may have been exciting for Birds or Cov Cath fans but it was hard to watch. It was like watching a 6 year olds playing soccer at the YMCA.

Both teams will have early playoff exits. It was a tough game to watch.

I will try. It was a late one last night. I believe all 3 of the Jags scores were pass plays. #7 #83 and #39 for the Jags had big plays in the pass game. Most of the Jags rushing yards came from the QB #7. The Jags Def played well and even better with #51 in the game. The raiders turned the ball over 3-4 times (picks). The Raiders had 2 field goals and scored on a fumble recovery. Do be honest the Raiders didn't get much going on the offensive side of the ball.

Great job jags. Jags need to play #51 more on def he was a beast today.

Ryle fans came on the field after the game tonight. They were asked a few times to leave the field by the Cooper announcer. They ignored him and stayed on the field.

So Cov Cath is awful and Ryle has beaten 3 winless 6a schools. Can you say overrated.

Both are good teams but I feel the jury is still out on Ryle. They look like a top 6a team because of their record. If you dig a little deeper you will see the schedule has a lot to do with that. If Ryle played the same schedule as Cooper they would both have 2 losses. I give the nod to the Jags because they have already played 2 good teams. There are 4 winless teams in 6a and Ryle has played 3 of them.

I don't think Cooper really tries to win JV or Freshmen games. It's more about player development. There are a few players that should be playing both ways but they choose to play all their players win or lose.

I think Ryle is getting to much credit for a weak schedule. If you look at the stats Ryle has scored 267 points and given up 100. The average for 6 games is 46 for and 17 against. If you take away the 3 games vs winless teams it's 94 scored and 76 against. The average drops to 31 points scored and 25 given up. I did the same for Cooper but only dropped Campbell County since that is the only winless team they have played. Cooper has scored 177 and given up 89 which breaks down to 25.3 scored and 13 given up per game. If you drop the Campbell County stats it's 142 for and 82 against which makes the average 24 points for and 14 against. These teams are very close and to date Cooper has played a tougher schedule. The good thing is this will be settled on the field and not in this forum.

Ryle's easy schedule comes to a end this week. Jags win by 10.

Because beating 2 teams with 0 wins doesn't tell us much about Ryle. Yes they are better but I still think they are a pretender.

Cant wait until Ryle plays a quality opponent this year.

Beating this years Highlands team is like finally getting a date with the hot cheerleader from high school. The only problem is she is 100 pounds heavier with 3 kids. It's just not the same thing.
