Cooper @ Dixie JV Score

Featured Replies

Did anyone go to the Cooper/Dixie JV game last night that can give a recap on how the game went? Who won and who seemed to play well? Thank you in advance

A friend of my son, plays on Cooper's Jv team, and said Dixie won 29-6 or 12, or something like that, but he did tell my son, Dixie won.

Dixie had a strong run game agains a poor tackling Cooper team. The QB carries out his fakes really well and gained good yardage on multiple QB runs. Cooper didn't do very much to impress me. JL threw 2 td passes to Brown, should have been 3 to put them within 10 but the ball skipped off the hands of Brown. There were a few good runs by the Jags, but nothing in comparison to DH. I do know Coopers JV squad had full practice with the varsity prior to playing this game. A bit too much to ask for in one day and expect 110%

I would assume that Dixie's JV probably practiced with their varsity Monday as well. It sounds like they have a pretty good JV team, congratulations Dixie on the win. Monday's are not difficult practice days, and JV did not run conditioning and saw a lot of install like most Monday practices. While I am sure they were tired, it was not like a Tuesday or Wednesday practice. Hopefully the got good reps, improved, and will play better on Saturday.

I don't think Cooper really tries to win JV or Freshmen games. It's more about player development. There are a few players that should be playing both ways but they choose to play all their players win or lose.
