I agree with everything WKY said.These kids could have done something special at Apollo but they chose to leave,that is what makes OHS title run last year so special,the kids stayed together. I heard some Prep Schools tried to get Holman to leave before his senior year, but he wanted that chance to win a state championship and he did,that team was a family and that is why they won it all.It is a shame them kids did not give Apollo the same chance.

I still think OHS is still a year away, but you get out of that first round game in the district anything can happen especially this year. The lack of size is really hurting OHS.

Yes Harris is back,but the Sophomore Gardner led the Devils in scoring last night . The Devils showed a lot by playing tooth and nail with a top five team last night,something to build on.

Does anyone know who scored for Team Kentucky.?

OHS was without starting pg Jacoby Harris ,the starter on the title team last year.

Yes i know OHS is probably a year away, but Jacoby Harris the starting pg on the state champs team last year did not play in the scrimmage.They will be pretty young this year.

Give BG credit ,Self Destruction by OHS.Inside the 5 three times in the 1st qt 6 points .Bad playcalling,running the same play over and over again.

OHS lost a lot but do return PG Jacoby Harris who is getting a lot attention from a few D1 schools.The Devils could be a year away but with all the Apollo guys leaving it opens every thing up in the 3rd region. Meade Co. getting the transfer from Doss could make them the favorite,but i would not count out the defending state champs.

I agree Brown, Tavian was in beast mode tonight .I like the way they brought pressure up the middle and outside,gave Hendo a lot problems .

Good win going in to the playoffs for OHS.Defense was stout the whole night. Hendo had Carter and that was pretty much it,you cant beat good teams with one threat.

I thought last week OHS was sleepwalking againts Apollo even thou they won big.When you go on the road you better bring it or you will lose.I guess a wins a win.Sometimes you got to win ugly,I'll take it.

OHS needs to keep this Middle School group coming up together .Like 58 said the Crite kid going to DC hurt and the Soph. Dull kid is just playing Baseball, those are really good kids that were stars in Middle School.It really hurts ,I know you are going have some kids that will not play once they get in High School, but you cannot lose the star players.

I just wanted to do a shout out to the Red Devils 7th and 8th grade teams for going undefeated this season.This has the be the best collection of talent i have seen at that school in along time.I do not understand why this school will not play in the State Tournament,I know the kids and the parents want to play but the coaches wont participate I would like to see how these teams match up against other schools around the state.

Good win by the Devils,Board and James both ran over 100 yards.OHS still needs to clean up the silly mistakes.

T.J James is the starter,but Board right now seems to be the better back.It is nice to have 2 good backs.I like to see Barrett get a few more touches,but they did a good job of moving the ball around last night.

DC tied the game up 21 all in the 3rd then OHS scored 28 straight.MVP Landon Board the kid is turning into a heck of a back,he runs so hard and has pretty good speed.I thought the QB for Owensboro played a lot better game tonight. Good win for the Devils DC was no slouch.

Turnovers are killing OHS so far,hope to see round 2 in November.

OHS had way to many turnovers tonight,it will get you beat most of the time.I think the team took a step back tonight.The Gross kid i am not impressed at all,QB is everything to an offence.They better get it together they team are going to be facing a angry BG team next week.

Their Defense dominate,Offense has a long way to go,has to be a record amount of holding penalties.This should have been a running clock, they better get it together before BG and some of the other top teams.

OHS defense was great tonight, better than last year. The offense struggled, to much east, west the deep ball was there all night long.If they keep improving week to week they could be playing for a state championship in December.Not sure OHS will see a faster than Warren Central the rest of the way.The star of the game was Vassad Greer dt OHS. WKU should get in on this kid ,he was in the backfield all night.

I thought i would pass this along because this was a great game.You have two upstart running backs in Monte Owsley of Owensboro and Vito Tisdale of BG ,both tremendous speedsters.It looks like OHS and BG rivalry will have some great games in the future. Owensboro 7th grade is loaded as they defeated BG 40-0. I know this is only Middle School ,i am excited for the Devils they look like they have some good talent coming up in the future.
