Ashland most seasons has the last week of the season as their bye to rest for the playoffs and always liked that. For a couple of years a couple of years ago they had the week 0 bye and I personally hated them not playing.

Ashland does not and I'm guessing the City does not allow this or they would. Schools like Russell Fairview and Greenup do. Seems like a good way to make extra cash for the school or the Football program.

Ashland Band parents run the concession stands and the profits go to the band for uniforms equipment etc.

Greenup cracking the top 10. Glad for them but may be short lived with 4A#1 JC this week and 4A#4 Ashland next week.

Cold but not below freezing 40s 50s 60s perfect football weather.

Seen GC play 2 times while I'm sure they have improved since early in the season most everyone else has too. They struggled to play with Russell and win but lost to Raceland. Russell is down and Raceland is pretty good but Ashland shut them out. They won't compete with JC and probably not Ashland either.

After giving up 45 points in the season opener, the Tomcats have 3 shutouts and 46 total points the last 6.

My wife happened to talk with the Boyd HC a week or so ago. He came in her store and she had no clue who he was but wearing BC gear struck up a conversation about Ashland Football. He told her who he was and is trying to pattern Boyd after the Cats but just can't get any interest in the program or get the athletes to play.

Ashland has now won 27 of the last 30 in the series

Phelps had a chance minute to play and 4 down at the Wood 18. They tried a field goal for the win and was short

Ashland Freshman team shut out Boyd the entire 2nd half.

That pick 6 was the last play of the game and Boyd had 1st and goal at the Ashland 5. 100 yard INT.

67-0 final Ashland intercepts the pass in the end zone and runs it back 100 yards. Longest play in Ashland history. Ashland Freshman play the entire 2nd half and keep Ashlands 3rd shutout of the season in tack.

Ashland is the best team regular season on the Rams schedule no offense to Somerset. Pulling for the Rams and think it's a close game.

Ashland maybe and that's a big maybe could play JC a close first half of Football. I think JCs huge lines will wear down the Tomcats and they pull far away in the 2nd.

Heard several players quit last week before the JC game.
