  1.:laugh::laugh: Now I don't care who ya are that's funny right there!!!!
  2. Hinson will be at Bracken for as long as he wants to be. He is a master motivator and should have been at Bracken a season ago but politics got in the way of that. The girls coaching comments really need to be on the girls section of the site, but Kelsch wrote his own ending at Bracken. He resigned as coach, then took a job at RC. Don't really know what any of that has to do with this years 39th district tournament though.
  3. Correct me if I am wrong but hasn't Mason Co missed the bus to regional 2 of the past 3 seasons?
  4. Last yrs Mason team did beat this team for BC by 20+. BC lost one kid to graduation that played very limited minutes. So basically its the same team they had last season. :idunno:
  5. Out of their 22 games to this point 11 of them (50%) have been against quality opponents reguardless of their region affiliation. 6 out of the 10 have been at home. so I don't get the S.O.S argument. The district is on their floor so why not play as many as they can there? They played some weaker teams as well but not very many. The Harrison and Pendleton games looked good on paper when the schedule was created back last spring/summer, but transfers and lower than expected production from the 38th district wasn't expected at that point.
  6. Looks as if its 4 and 4 to me
  7. The common link here between these two teams is Daniel Fisher. Head coach back in the day now an assistant for Coach Hinson. also was the last coach at Bracken to win a district in 99
  8. I can agree with this statement 100%. They are two totally different players. I try to look back and see where I can compare each to kids I seen over the years and I keep comparing the 2 to another Bracken standout Adam Reed. Neither Bach or Crawford made to an All A state (Crawford still has one more chance), but Reed never got a district championship (Bach has 2 and Crawford has 2 more chances). All three could fill up a stat sheet and score just about whenever they want too. All 3 had good role players around them Bach had Maddox, O. Crawford, Snapp. A. Crawford has Hamilton (when healthy), Engnes, Jones, Lippert, and Reed had Day, Clayton, Tucker, and Wright. IMO this Bracken team looks a lot like that team they had in 97-98. Maybe this team just a bit better, and it doesn't hurt that the region as a whole is down.
  9. Not gonna lie my man I like Bracken and their coach, but I'm a fan of high school hoops in general. I also like Mason. Augusta, Paris, MoCo, and Campbell. Anywhere there is good basketball being played. Who ever wins doesn't matter to me, because I just love to watch basketball. Now predicting who wins what is also fun within itself just for something to do. This yr IMO I think whomever wins the MaCo/BC game wins the district. I'm not so sure Augusta will get past St. Pat. The two times I saw these teams play each other Augusta struggled to get the wins, and St. Pat had to have learned something about the Panthers as many times they have played this season. Just an opinion nothing more.
  10. Hard to criticize a win. If that was the case then it would just be complaining or having a vendetta against someone. For the record The Bealcher boys are doing a great job in PC. Just been a weird season for those guys but they are the best team in the 38th I feel. But I also think the 38th is probably the weakest district in the 10th this season. So there is that.
  11. Good coach gets the best out of his players took an Augusta team with one superstar and a bunch of role players and made a deep run at region and two district championships. Took over a team with a superstar and better role players at Bracken so id say his chances are pretty damn good at even more continued success
  12. I guess it depends on who's dream it is. And if your on the orange and black juice stay asleep and keep on dreaming. A team in blue will win the 39th. The games on Tuesday night of the district will be the championship games because whom ever comes out of Tuesday night will win Thursday night
  13. This!!!! The answer would surprise several.
  14. That's what good players always say. But anybody that watched him play knows he was the straw that stirred the drink.
  15. Na I'm good. I'm just tired of hearing about that little puny gym like it's such an amazing place to watch high school games. Been there several times for a wide array of events and it's just not all that like some on here portray it to be. Needs major upgrades to catch up with society. It's almost 100 yrs old for god sakes. I'm just greatful for technology these days and radio broadcasters popping up all over the region so I don't have to go watch another game down there. The nightmare of parking and seating is over. All I have to do is click a link and listen.
  16. No disrespect but short answer..... No
  17. This gym is just horrible to watch a game in. Too small and not accommodating to fans. Parking is terrible and if you can find a seat once you get there you are lucky. Benches are actually the first row on the bleachers . If you are fortunate to get stuck in the top you have a nice peice of plexiglass to look through. How awesome is that Toughest places to play in the region would be Feildhouse when it's packed Pendleton anytime Harrison when there's a good crowd And possibly Bracken when they get the house full vs Augusta and during the district tournament.
  18. If kids are being disrespectful to coaches and fans then they need reprimanded. No two ways about it. If kids are breaking team rules then penalties should be handed down. If what happened with the kids at MaCo earlier in the season really happened (which it is not my place to say) then they should not be on the team period. Kids are gonna screw up from time to time. Some things can be addressed and move on with a suspension. Other things well that is a different animal altogether. Some violations do not get a second chance option. It happens at all schools in some way or another. That's where the coaches also have to be role models and life coaches to these kids. You cant lessen the punishment because it will hamper your chance at success, and I think that is where the disconnect is at Mason Co. The fan base is getting fed up with it and we are not even through the Buddy Biggs maiden voyage.
  19. Whom do you speak of? Was their an injury? If so what kind?
  20. Whom ever wins this one will be going to Frankfort IMO. No disrespect to Brossart but tonight is the Championship game. The one who prevails will be taking loads of momentum in to Saturday night. I'm sure the Mustang fans will disagree with me, and rightfully so they will be the most rested team Saturday night. But I fell that the emotional high tonight winner will be on will carry them to victory over the stangs
  21. Agreed on Williams and Hamilton. Would love to see Jones come out of his shell as well as Lippert. Engnes is probally their best defender would also like to see him be more consistant on the offensive end.
  22. Augusta has a chance if they slow the pace of the game down. Dont get in a track meet with the Hounds or they will be asking for trouble. When Bracken slowed the pace last night they had alot of success once they decided to run up and down the floor with Paris the Hounds took advantage.
  23. He has a good cast around him. Just have not been consistant this season so far. Hopefully they get it together for the 2nd half of the season.
