All depends if they cut the grass. Last year vs Ryle the game was early, first game I think. They grass was super long. Super hot and humid. So there was a ton of moisture under that long grass. It made a huge difference for Cooper. That game was close, but not very close. Cooper had it from the get go. I'm not comparing Ryle to Highlands, but just making a comment on the grass. It will slow Highlands down if they leave it long.

This years soph class went as far as final 4 in the State Tournament as 7th graders. This years 8th grade team went to the state championship last year.

This why Ryle's feeder program has been so strong. There are a lot of numbers that have been "laying in the wait" Freshmen become sophmores, sophmores become juniors, juniors become seniors. From what I understand, this is the first year of all four classes coming in from the feeder program. Next man up !! SK's biggest fan can't disagree with this logic. They got a feeder program too, right?

I watched them this past weekend at 7 vs 7. I know, I know....It's 7 v 7. However, Morgan was getting the ball off quick. His throws were on point, as the WRs were breaking into their patterns, the ball was there. If he can get the ball off in under 2 1/2 seconds that will REALLY REALLY help the line. You mentioned 1 RB, they have 4-5 viable running backs (England, McGregor, Bateman, Chisholm among others. Two solid TEs in Penick and Long. A bunch of quick WRs, Ashley is as tough as they come, Cusick, Wright. O'hara looked good at WR when he wasn't getting his snaps at QB. My point, if the QB's get the ball of as they are breaking into their routes, the Line can hold up. College D Lines have a hard time getting to QBs in under 3 seconds. Morgan will do his part by getting the ball off quickly.

In my opinion, Grant was the surprise contender there. They had a 260 full back line in the far slot and catch a touchdown in the far corner vs Ryle. Down by 1, decided to go for 2 and the win, missed the conversion. They are gonna go vertical this year.

Hergoott looked really good. Split time, but he looked good. He's a real good player and and seems like a good kid. I asked him about recovering from Mono, said he lost 13 lbs, but was feeling good after this weekend. I said time, "good for you, hope you feel better" He said, "thank you sir" Very respectful. Central MI is getting a quality athlete. All this BS aside, Ryle, Highlands, Lex Cath all should be proud. Good teams and good programs. But one thing in common, Good Kids.

Ryle had 2 soph's on the 3rd place team (Oline challenge) then followed up by winning the Saturday 7-7 Tourney going without a loss all day. So that's a runner up on Friday 7-7, Champts Saturday 7-7 and 2 top five finishes in Lineman Challlenge. Good weekend for Ryle

Best Player ? there have been quite a few, but can many say they have been as successful as Justin Doleman (Ryle), great college career and European League MVP last year.

Congrats to him. Saw him throw yesterday in some sort of 7 v 7 practice. 2 passes in a row 60 yards just over a covered receivers shoulder. His passes have zip, a distinctive sound. Almost like whistle.

Ryle HS won vs Simon Kenton and Hancock Cty Saturday at Grant Co.

It seems like Ryle always schedules tough, I assume in an attempt to be road tested/travel approved by the time the end of the season comes along. Tates Creek Scrimmage is a tough one. I don't think this regime is any different than past regimes. Who cares about the W-L record, it's how well they are playing come District time.

I just hope that kids/players and parents don't view these posts. Passive Aggressive. Congrats to him in one post, then the next post about 2 kids are better than him, then another about him not starting next year. I love this forum, but I hope the kids stay off of it.

I watched him recently at a tournament in Lexington, he has a sweet move away from the hoop using a left handed hook shot. Keeping his 6' 5" frame between the defender and the ball. Very smooth, hard to defend. He can hit the 3 as well. Rebounds well, He's a good one !!

Boone Cty HS had Ethan Robins, Noah Shidler and Ethan Haynes get Varsity Time as Freshman Cooper had Adam Kunkel, Brayden Runion and Chris McNeil get Varsity time as Freshman Ryle had Parker Bisek get Varsity time as a Freshman Conner had a real good PG get varsity time as a Freshman, not sure of his name Dixie also had a real good PG get varsity time as well, not sure of his name, but I think his mom is head coach at NKU. Cov Cath has been addressed, I think Austin Lay could start and see major minutes on Varsity as well.

I can see Rankin playing JV/V This year. His skill set is JV/V ready, no question. Heard that Bromwell may be headed to Walton/Verona, not sure if this is true.

Ryle's Sophmore class ran all over their competition last year to an undefeated Freshman season. Jake Chisholm RB, DB Justin Selby WR, DB Zach Rytlewski (sp?) WR, DB Parker Bisek TE, DE Ryan Princepata C, DL Charles Golden RB, DB Conner Ryle OL, DE all were two way starters, but it remains to be seen if they will have a major impact on the V level this year due to a strong Junior and Senior class. They may have to buy their time. I can see Chisholm, Selby, Rytlewski, Bisek and Princepata getting more and more minutes as the season goes on.

I love the jabbing, ducking and weaving, Entertainment value is on point. However, nothing changes the fact that Ryles Staff has a QB Competition, RB Competition. The outcome will be good anyway you look at it. If Morgan wins, O'hara will make a great WR. If O'hara wins, Morgan will make a great WR. 4 headed hydra at RB. Jake Long moving from RB to TE is an absolute beast. Beagle at WR/TE is very intense and a great athlete. Ryle doesn't need Daddy's to make decisions this year, frankly because there isn't any negative when they do decide who plays where. A lot of athletes. Daddy ball is dead at Ryle. This thread should be dead too.

I agree with Tandems. Tandems and RB By committee will win alot of 4th quarters. Ryle will have England, Bateman, McGregor, Chisholm (So). If they all get carries, that is a good thing. Chisholm as a Fr had like 50 TD's in 8 games. I know, I know, Freshman Ball??? But the kid has the Body of a Junior, best field vision I have ever seen by a kid that young. The kid is tearing up on Varsity Track. Imagine if you bring in Fresh legs in the 4th, what is that going to do to defenses? I can see Ryle scoring points then pounding the running game if they get a lead. 4 headed running attack
