What is the process and accountability of evaluating basketball officials?
I don't think you can limit it to regions. Watch how differently college games are called. Very inconsistent across the board in my opinion

What is the process and accountability of evaluating basketball officials?
I agree. Was just very noticeable. 9th & 10th are games I saw this year

What is the process and accountability of evaluating basketball officials?
I noticed less rotation this year than in the past. Basically refs were getting in eye contact of table & calling the foul. I thought it was being a POE to speed up the games as some refs tend to take their time getting to the table.

Sweet 16 Roll Call
I missed because I was sick, but remember listening to it on the radio. Tip-in at the buzzer if I remember correctly

Sweet 16 Roll Call
I'll be there at some point on Friday. With my dad & 2 boys My dad hasn't missed a state tournament. I've missed 1 (1983 when Henry Clay won) My 2 boys haven't missed a state tournament (1 made the trip at 2 weeks old)

2 charges missed on the Scott defensive end.

Scott 54 Harrison County 53 (10th Region Semi-Finals)
No lane violation. Ball was released prior to foot hitting the lane, according to refs explanation to coaching staff. Imo, good no call, as it was very close. Got to makes FTs down the stretch. Scott did. Harrison did not

Wow!

Pendleton County/Campbell County updates
An hour to play 3 quarters seems a tad MLBish

Did the game start late?

Scott/Harrison County predictions
It might be the 3rd time they've played, but neither has played the team they will play tonight. Harrison County was without DJ Jenkins in both prior matchups. Scott was battling the flu-bug at Harrison County (Ohmer & Schneider, even though they played) & at The Fieldhouse without Schneider. Should be a good one tonight

Scott 70 Paris 49 (10th Region Quarterfinals)
Congrats to Jake! Heard Mason wouldn't give up the game ball. True? As I thought that was always common courtesy to the kids

Scott/Paris updates
Seems like a good athlete. One can play hard without playing like that

Scott/Paris updates
IMO, #14 for Paris is lucky to still be in this game. Dirty

10th Region Tournament (First Round) predictions
I too will be there for the 2nd session. Outside of Mason, it's been a roller coaster in the 10th this year. Wouldn't be surprised to see any of the 8 make a run over the next 4 days, especially with the off days. It's called March Madness for a reason

8th Region Tourney at Henry County Postponed
Per Kenton County rules: No school, no practice. However, being on a 1 hour delay today, they will be able to practice today. As will Scott as they play tomorrow as well. The Kenton County school that got short changed was Dixie as they play tonight

How About No District Tournament Only Regional
Part of the experience is staying down there all week. I've only missed 2 since 1972 (my 1st trip @ 6 months old). Suitable rest? What's that? I loved the coming back same day part of it. But that's just me.

How About No District Tournament Only Regional
I liked the way it was. Now I have to stay an extra night, instead of driving home after finals.

How About No District Tournament Only Regional
Those acting like it's an awful idea are making for great entertainment. Logistically it just doesn't work outside of 3-5 regions. Where was this uproar when the championship game got moved to Sunday, which was supposed to happen once?

How About No District Tournament Only Regional
Not a bad idea. You'd still have 1 seeds playing a 4/5 seed, just from another district in same region. The problem is more geographical than anything. Where it would work in the 9th and the Lexington/Louisville regions very easily. It wouldn't work as well in say the 8th & 10th as examples.
