  1. A flurry of 3s has pushed Anderson’s lead to 21-8 with 4:13 in 2nd
  2. Anderson doesn’t hold the ball. They are just patient and work for their best shot. May make 10-15 passes to break down a defense, even man to man. This was an intense game, well played by both teams. Whitlock was clutch for Spencer. I was surprised that towards end of the third, Spencer had momentum and tempo in their favor and chose to slow the game down.
  3. Final from Shelbyville. Game was 37-36 with 22 seconds remaining. McKnight hit two FT, Anderson 3 to tie missed and Collins got a runout on the rebound for the final margin. Well played game by both teams.
  4. Anderson led by 16 at the half but struggled offensively in third quarter. Lead cut to 5 midway through final quarter but AC righted the ship to push it out to the final margin.
  5. Yes, Anderson led 31-13 at the half and by as many as 23 midway through the 3rd.
  6. Final from Lawrenceburg. Anderson holds Grant to 25% from the field and 0-10 from three.
  7. Anderson was stone cold from the field for the first 3.5 quarters and trailed by 8. Then went on a 27-8 run fueled by defensive pressure and tough drives into the paint.
  8. Anderson lead by 13 after first quarter and slowly built to the final margin.
  9. My ploy worked. I knew that if I mentioned it here, Murphy's Law would kick in. It did and I received them in today's mail.
  10. Seems like they mail them out later and later every year. Has anybody received them in the mail yet? We are only a week away from tipping it off in Rupp.
  11. Anderson led 25-18 at half and was able to withstand a run by Woodford at start of 3rd quarter that saw them take a brief lead. Nice focus and composure during final minutes for Anderson allowed them to come away with the road win.
  12. As Lee Corso would say, Not so fast my friend. Very entertaining game between two well coached teams. Anderson's game plan to take Miles out of the game by placing a body on him and moving him away from the basket worked as he only had 3 points I believe. Walton's switch to a 1-3-1 at the half was a turning point as that utilized their length better on the defensive end. Anderson will make teams work for any victories against them this year.
  13. Anderson County will be having an all-day event on Saturday, Nov. 3 to honor longtime coach Glen Drury. Event begins at 11:30am with elementary school teams. Anderson girls scrimmage Frederick Douglas at 6:00pm and the boys finish off the days action with East Jessamine at 7:30pm. Donations will be accepted all day long for Parkinson's research.
  14. The win was costly for the Bearcats as RB Zach Labhart sustained a knee injury after taking the second play from scrimmage 62 yards for TD. Reports are he will miss the rest of the season.
  15. Anderson has played Franklin Co and Sayre so far and have games this week with Henry Co, Louisville Iroquois, Frankfort and Woodford Co.
  16. Update on Coach Drury. He continues at Frankfort Regional Hospital with hopes of getting to Cardinal Hill in Lexington soon to begin his rehab. it will be a long road but Coach Drury is a real fighter.
  17. Good to hear. I went to Transy with Eddie and will be good to see him back on the sidelines, even at a rival.
