33-31 going into half. Stearns hit a shot at the buzzer. Initially was called a basket but after talking with other officials, was called no basket. Let's see if that comes back to decide the game.

I made the analogy that I felt I was watching an NBA game.. it seemed effortless. Probably a combination of two really good teams with good players and the refs letting the play.

I woul have bet money that Springate scored 50 against Lincoln in 1999, at BCHS.

I feel the decision making late in the game from Gover cost SWHS this game. For some reason they stopped trying to get Gaskin the ball in the second half. Elkins started fronting the post, which made it hard to even attempt to get him the ball. Great game by Tyler. He was on fire from the tip. Good win for BC.

Good win for SWHS and the 12th... but I think KCC is a great team. Justice is tough to stop. Another good match-up this weekend for them when they go to Lincoln to play a tough team. I haven't seen KCC play this year but I watched them a few times last year.

I think this is lame if that is how the tie-break is decided. I am not sure I agree with the coin flip either. How about district wins point margin? Or just head-to-head point margin? IDK

45th: Will be a battle but I am picking BC over LC. 46th: Another close race but my gut says that West wins only because in the finals they have the home court 47th: I think PC wins but against Casey. Casey is my sleeper. I know they have a lot of loses by a lot of points but they are athletic and can be dangersous. 48th: Going back to the home team. I think Wayne wins but only because its in Monticello. I think SW is the better team going into the region.

^^^^ which IMO is good. HS bball at its best. Two good teams. District play. Packed gyms. Good times.

Good news about this BC/LC rivalry is they may very we'll play two more times this year :clap:

As a fan of the 12th, it looks like they will need to knock off all the top teams if they want to make it to Sunday. IMO, they got the toughest road ahead.

I personally don't mind the region set up. I can remember watching a region at one the smaller gyms (unmentioned location lol) and it was a miserable experience as a nuetral fan. No offense to the smaller gyms. Even the big gyms are packed with two top level teams playing.

Conway shot the ball at a high percentage. It's tough to guard him when that is happening. SWHS didn't play great. I felt that SWHS would use Gaskins as a 'first' option but that only happened a few times. Gover couldn't defend anyone and I think that caused a lot of problems with LC having a good night offensively, Timmy Taylor was able to run and what he does best.

I know its early but I am in the mood for baseball. Who are the key players returning in the 12th region and who do they play for? Hurry up SPRING TIME!

How do the tie breakers work?

Bell took over 50% of the teams shots. Add in Tyler's 9 fga and the rest of the team took only 11 shots for an entire game. Add that he also attempted 15 fta, that's 7 other fga (one on a 3) he had that don't go in the book. What this means is if this is okay, BC will struggle in tourney unless he shoots 60% from the field. When you have a Tyler that can knock down shots, you find a way to get him involved. And then Bean and Hinkle are capable of hitting shots too. I want to give Bell some credit. He can play. He can score. Taylor didn't play well at all, yet was able to manage getting it together late in the game to get his team the win because he got the ball to the guys that could score.
