  1. I guess nobody in the mountains get credit unless they go through the all mighty Clay Co, or is that just a rumor?
  2. Williamsburg is going to be tough to beat. Led by Skler Griffith and Corey Shelton who put up 20 plus pts a night. These guys can play some ball.
  3. Vaughn hatcher- williamsburg his D has shut down offenses all year
  4. jefferson patrick #25 for Williamsburg would be hard to beat. (played state game injured with turf toe still put up the #'s) The young man is just an animal, over 100 tackles a year and 150+ one of those years.
  5. Tremendous catch http://youtu.be/FBoaoIvVgGQ
  6. Both teams were in a dogfight, emotions are going to come out. Do not let these post of individual actions while on the heat of the moment undermine the great game that was played. Players from both sides do not need these comments to take away from the performance.
  7. Jefferson Patrick from williamsburg over 100 this season has over 500 in his 4 yrs at williamsburg who played his final hs game before the college level today
  8. Arguably one of the best high school football games I have ever seen. I can honestly say that both teams left it all on the turf. Both sides can say what if this what if that but, I think it is safe to say both sides got their money worth on this gridiron battle and a battle is exactly what it was. Congrats to mayfield on a state championship And congrats to williamsburg on a hard fought game.
  9. The Williamsburg d was just too much for Raceland to handle and the potential 2 best defensive players For Williamsburg in Patrick and Husky didn't play.
  10. Congrats to jefferson patrick on breaking the 100 tackle mark for the 4th straight season. 515 in his 4 years at Williamsburg.
  11. Wiiliamsburg is ready to go... most focused i've seen this team all year.
  12. I was pulling for Corbin. They had some good kids on that team and coach Haddix is a class act. Give coach another year and I predict Corbin will make a strong showing at state next year. In my opinion, I it's the parents who stir the whole rivalry thing up because the kids hangout with each other and most of them at one time or another have played on the same team with each other.
  13. How is Raceland health wise going into this game? I know Williamsburg lost 1 good linebacker before the hazard game (Dalton Shackleford)
  14. The loss of one of racelands backs early in the game really hurt Raceland as well
  15. I think Williamsburg's ability to stop the run is going to be the key to this game. The defensive speed of Williamsburg is what killed Raceland's game plan last year, The rams just couldn't get it going on the ground and Williamsburg returns the whole defensive team. I see a lot of criticism about williamsburgs pass D but what people fail to understand is the defensive alignment Williamsburg showed last week was specifically to stop hazards run ( Brandon Jones- a very good back) not defend the short quick pass. Normally Williamsburg doesn't play their 165lb free safeties at tackle to shoot a run gap and hold contain but to stop the running of Jones, coaches made that change and it worked.
