If there's 23 girls that good in NKY, then a local team would win state every year, and D1 coaches would be buying, not leasing condos here. I understand your enthusiasm in wanting to recognize players, but not everyone is going to be a top 10 player - or even top 20.

I understand both teams were at full strength and healthy.

Based on previous posts, seems there's some drama re-surfacing before this match-up from the Highlands side. NC won 1st meeting 2-1. Haven't both teams already qualified for Regional? And which team will the weather favor?

Anyone who says it's not a benefit having the best player on the team back healthy is out of their mind, and is probably working a different agenda. If she's healthy I'm sure she will play, but I could also see holding her back for the playoffs next week - likely these 2 teams meet again in playoffs with Region title on the line.

Many top ranked schools academically also have excellent athletic programs. Are those parents awful?

Saw earlier posts about Ryle being a top team in 9th, with some saying they are the top team. And ND seems to be doing well too. Is the winner the favorite to win the 9th?

Scott is the team to beat in the 10th. Don't think anyone will.

The 10th Region's best would be a middle of the road team in the 9th. The 9th is just that strong and deep.

I believe Mercy is ranked #1 in both polls - PrepVolleyball and Maxpreps - so they are the unanimous #1 team in the country. Good hunting.

You are staying east - too far east for any downtown or south of town suggestions unless you want a drive. But you will be very close to The Greene, Dayton's best new development, lined with tons of high and medium end bars and restaurants. If you're into beer, try Pies & Pints in The Greene. Lots of craft beers. You will also be close to the Air Force Museum. It's a must visit.

ND struggles how? I only go by what I see on the web and scoreboards. Looks like this year's team finished tied for highest finish ever by an ND team in the Chicago tourney. Looks like this year's team is beating all the teams ND usually beats in the area. Are you saying they struggle against Mercy, the #1 team in the country? Last year's higher ranked ND team went 0-2 against a lower ranked Mercy team. This year's team is on pace with every other ND team from the past 20 years. If this is struggling, there's a lot of teams and coaches that would take it.

They are 20-4 with their only losses to top 10 Nationally Ranked teams. They are dominating NKY teams right now, go look at their recent scores. That hardly sounds like a rebuilding year.

From what I've been reading, ND quietly goes into a national tournament in Chicago as an underdog and finishes 2nd, defeating a few national powers along the way. From the outside - looks like they can play with and beat anyone. I've been catching up on a season of posts on how great Cooper, Ryle, Scott, St. Henry, NCC, St. Henry, Boone Co., and Beechwood are - with little love posted for ND. Where would you rank all those teams now relative to ND?

Lost to ND too. But Scott is the best team in the 10th and should win it. No doubt.

Mercy is the #1 ranked team in the country and they will absolutely destroy whoever wins the 8th. Wins and losses mean nothing. Mercy, Assumption, Sacred Heart, ND on a totally different level.

Ryle, St. Henry, and ND are the 3 NKY teams to beat - they are the most 'complete' teams in NKY. Scott and Cooper should be ranked below those 3. If they played each other, St. Henry would have no problem with Scott, but I do think Scott wins the 10th this year.

Who thought Cooper would be 25-8??? Cooper is 9-9 with everyone healthy, Ryle is 12-9 with multiple injuries to starters. Ryle would have more wins if their starters weren't injured - that's not a 'what if' or an excuse, it's a reasonable assumption.
