Also notable missing players Mayberry from BC and Breslin from Highlands. Teams heavy in Lexington players, but that's to be expected.

And Williams is first team all region??? Cooper's relatively weak schedule allowed them to post an impressive record with great stats, but in the end, they suffered for it. Way to go NCC, great group of guys!!!

This match will be a very defensive match I believe. They both pack it in well and counter extremely well. Two of the best keepers as well. Birds in Extra time. 1-0

Highlands are against........Boone County, Newport Central Catholic, North Oldham, CCH, Homes, Anderson and Pendleton. I don't think basing a keeper on just shutouts can qualify if he is the "best" or not. Does he communicate with his team? does he have good awareness of his box, shot stopping, stepping off his line. just skills that should determine a good Gk.

He had 6 straight shut outs vs pretty quality teams. definitely put him as well as Grosser and williams in my top 3.

Nick Breslin is the keeper for HHS.

where is this game being played?

Bryson Day looked pretty mediocre this evening from the spectator point of view. but he is a very skilled athlete.

highlands DOMINATED the game. very good defense. Keeper had 13 saves and they got behind the ball all game. good win for the birds and the colonels will definitely be running the sprint program tomorrow before school.

Ryle 2-0

highlands makes adjustments to their slow start, and pulls away with a victory in extra time. 1-0

Great district match up on top of the hill tonight. hhs vs ncc. I think it will be a good one. great keeper match up in the game as well. grosser vs breslin

confirmed.

doing this should start good offense, Highlands had many opportunities when doing this but could not execute to put the ball in the back of the net. no power in the attacking third.

interested in the highlands game. As well as the Cov Cath Game. I say Highlands gets their first win of the season down in Montgomery 2-0, and Cov cath keeps it 3-1

I was in attendance at the game and stepped down on the field at the end of the j.v. game. The quality of the pitch was absolutely atrocious. Highlands started a little rough on their defense but quickly corrected themselves and showed how well they can possess the ball and how well their build up was. Definitely one of the better teams in the region who can move the ball out of the back. (even on bad surfaces)
