Not seeing one player from Scott when they're in the state final is non sense. IMO Treadway, Schneider, Morgan and the goalie Seay should be on that list. That's just pathetic.

That means that their coach is either not a member of the state high school soccer coaches association or he did not submit nominations for his team. Only dues paying members of the association can nominate their players and vote. I believe the dues are only $35 per year.

I never realized that. Knowing this now makes me look at this all-state list entirely different. If your an 'all-state' list then it should include 'all' schools regardless. I think they should be a little embarrassed by leaving off the Scott kids and in my opinion minimizes their list.

I don't disagree with you but to be nominated their coach needs to be a member. Surely the coach or his booster group could have ponied up $35 to join. I am sure there may be other glaring omissions from the all-state list but the team has been selected this way by the coaches association for years.

I agree with flops & hacks don't blame the association. This rule has been in place for over 15 years now. The state coaches association pays for the awards, not the khsaa thus they require you to be a member (which is extremely fair). A head coach has from August 1 to approximately sept 20 to join the association and become members. All principals, ad's, and coaches get multiple emails. In this case the scott players being left off was only the fault of their own coach and not the association. There is no way he nominated players for all state and they were completely left off. If you look at list carefully you will see all the other top northen kentucky coaches are members, and thus northern Kentucky has great reputation. From looking at list scott is probably the only team in top 25 whose coach isn't a member.

Missed the last 3 weeks of NKY soccer with all the Cincy games I was attending but was looking to see who from the area was coming back next year. I only saw the following three underclassmen in the area on the list of which I've seen the first two play and were very impressed. I don't know about the politics or process for how they go about voting but using the first 2 as a gauge i could see another 2-3 that could be on that list from the teams I did see play based on skill and soccer IQ which is what I would look at more than pure athleticism. Any others to watch out for next season? On a side note, I would have to agree that from a skill and soccer IQ standpoint ALONE the Treadway boy should be on there. I emphasis the criteria but understand there's more to how they vote on those things.
