Champlin is 27 so he's got a lot to learn as well. But with the enthusiasm he brings it can only do well for the program. As a society we put so much emphasis on winning and losing. I'm gonna bite on the better coaching statement I guarantee you Zack Moore has forgot more about football than you'll ever know. I have faith in Champlin but a 27 year old first time HS head coach is not a better coach than Moore. May have the community reached a little better than Moore, but Moore is coaching linebackers at a division one college right now. He just didn't have the athletes at East and a few disgruntled parents are the reason he resigned (which he didn't want to). Guy was only the HC for 4 years, which is hard at the HS level especially with how bad of a situation he took over to turn around without seeing the time and effort put into the feeder programs he did. If he ever gets back into the high school level (I doubt he will) I hope he lands somewhere with more patience and support.

Feel for the other kid though if he has been QB his whole life of the team and this kid swoops in this year and takes his spot

Didn't attend but heard the future Raiders physically dominated the Lions. Josh Ford had a couple of rushing touchdowns and Cameron Rowe was the QB and scored as well. Both are sophomores (Hickle is starting varsity QB as a sophomore) Good job Raiders!
