Congrats to Coach Smith, what is his background?

I read the rule as you can practice in full pads as much as you want, you just can't have "thud" or "live action" drills for more than 90 minutes.

"Beginning on Monday of the week the first scrimmage is played by the school, each school may participate in “Thud” or “Live Action” drills and game time simulations (not including contests or legal scrimmages) for no more than ninety-minutes per team, per week" This was the rule that jumped out at me the most. Some teams attempt to go full-pads four days a week with contact almost everyday. Anxious to see how teams adapt to this new rule. I think it is a good rule because each kid should have received significant reps on proper technique all summer. High school and college athletes alike wear down late in the season because their bodies are burnt out from the physical practices. If you are still full pads/full contact for every practice during the season, you have done something wrong as a coach in my opinion.

Paris is far from being a Top 10 team in Central Kentucky. Recently saw them play in a 7 on 7 and they are nowhere near some of the teams not listed in these rankings. Paris would lose by at least two scores to each of Bryan Station, Bourbon County, Dunbar, Woodford County, Garrard County and Lexington Christian.

I believe Bryan Station is throwing with the Knights today.

Though I have never been, I continue to hear good things about the facilities at Montgomery County.

Any word on any applicants or a date they want to have a football coach by? This has to be a tough situation for all involved.
