Over Hyped? I don't think so. Actually something that always bothers me about fans is the fact that they use excuses when talking about other teams. I'm not talking soley about your post my friend, but every teams fans tend to do the same. First off Ryle hasn't played all 6A schools As they also haven't played great teams either. They are 6-0 and even in my rankings for the time being are #2 and Cooper #3 and that is because they are 6-0 and no other reason. You did however say that Cooper just throws the ball up and hopes Hendrix can make a play. Is that how you describe Ryles passing game? I mean seriously, I know you know the game better than that. When someone pushes your button there really isn't a reason to make comments like that that do nothing but belittle what a program has done this year. You are better than that. Don't belittle Cooper's offense with cracks like that, we won't do it to Ryle by saying something stupid like all Ryle can do is run 3 backs rotating because none of them can last an entire game. You know that would be a stupid statement to make also. Now back to the competition. You do understand that it's ok to admit if another team has played a tougher schedule don't you? I mean in the end what does it matter? As long as your team ends up on top who cares if you played an easier schedule to get there? Cov Cath played a tougher schedule than us all. I don't see them up in here bragging how good they are. Now this is directed to everyone in every fan base. Quit qualifying your teams greatness by trying to belittle your rivals wins by saying garbage like "You beat so and so without their QB" or "Without their RB" etc. who cares? Take the lex Cath game, wouldn't have made a difference at all. Every team has players hurt. If Cooper loses you won't hear me saying it was because TCA wasn't 100% etc. Cooper lost 2 games to teams that are pretty good and we aren't crying over it. Now when talkin about how great one team is and how bad our team is, people may need to cool their jets some and look at the powerful 6-0 team and the games they played. Lex Cath they were behind most of the game, I watched it on the stream which was HD and awesome I might add, the same team was shutout against Cooper. CCH has 1 win and just like the LC game Ryle only won by 7. So let's not talk about how great one team is compared to the other in this matchup Fri Night. It's no secret what Ryles secret is. It isn't that their defense is so great in the 2nd half which I've heard. That has nothing to do with it at all because the defense is the same. What their strength is is their 3 RBs wear down defenses and by the 2nd half is when they have exploited that. No big secret. Just fact. So let's not belittle any team here. Both teams in Union are among the best in NKY and that is something to be proud of.

Rain shouldn't be that much of a factor with these two teams I think. the running game will determine who wins imo

I call deep anything past the regional championship game. Basically 4th round.

2012 we put over 1400 miles on our car going to 5 straight away games when Cooper went to the finals. Hard to think of driving more than we did that year.

I keep hearing a few HHS fans talking about how because of their history how Highlands will make it to BG this year. I hate to break it to you, but past history means nothing when you have a bad team. If you all don't play someone in your own district early on in the playoffs you may not even see Thanksgiving day practice and if you don't beat Dixie then you may as well prepare yourself for a possible one and done. However great your past is, it can't come close to making up for this years team. Sorry.

I can honestly tell you I don't know who will win this game. I hope Cooper does, but either way these are two very good teams and whoever wins will deserve it. I have a feeling these two will be meeting up again in the post season so we will have another great battle to look forward to.

The Tailback played the entire game against Cooper. also last year England did play against Cooper. I don't know about Bateman because I never paid attention to him last year.

I agree. I don't ever remember Cooper playing their corners up on the line of scrimmage, they are usually playing off the line which helps prevent some deep balls that many teams like to throw. Should be interesting. I actually think the key to the passing game for Ryle is if they can contain Marcus Watson on the line. If they can't then Morgan may be running for his life a lot which makes it very difficult to go downfield for abig plays. I actually think Watson will be the key to whether or not Cooper can shut down the passing attack or not.

No, I agree it would build some confidence, but I also said 2 weeks ago the confidence would be overthinking it a bit because many on here will think wining 3 of the last 4 will make them think they will make it to BG and nothing could be further from the truth. You should have put down beat boone by at least 21, 10 shows you didn't have much confidence in them is the way it looked. Even you should know how down Boone has been.

To be fair though, you'd really have to look at common opponents to get a better feel on both teams defenses and offenses. Offense Ryle is better and I'd say that all season long. The 3 headed running attack is pretty tough to stop. With that said, common opponent would be Lexington Catholic who Ryle I believed hung 50+ on them, cooper only hung 35 on them. But the big difference is defense. I believe Lexington Catholic Hung 30+ on Ryle while Cooper shut them out. Should be a great game.

Not sure but I think you are the only one predicting Any win in this thread between us so I'm not really sure what "talking a good game" really means in this context. Also if you don't know that this would be a bet, your Ryle education really failed you. Maybe you should transfer to Cooper where the academics can help you out a little.

This one will be close. Dixie has a better running game. Highlands has faster WR's but Hergott is the big ? If he can hit some receivers downfield HHS wins. Either way it's close game.

There isn't any way of doing that unless you garuntee the neutral field was a 2 hour drive from both teams. Do you think for instance if Cov Cath was playing Pulaski Co for instance and they played the game anywhere in Boone, Lenton or Cambpell counties it would be like a nuetral field?
