It's all good. I just get tired of people always bringing up injuries as it they would have made a difference when they talk about Cooper beating LC is all. It was brought up by many during the game and before the game too as if it would have made a difference in the outcome. That is all. Not getting on you, just tired of hearing the injuries sound like an excuse is all.

True Ryle has a lot of kids that can score, but the thing is all those kids can't play at the same time so it really doesn't matter to Cooper I would think. They aren't going to change their philosophy because of kids subbing in and out. Cooper has 7 Players who have scored TD's on offense, I doubt Ryle has 21 kids that have scored TD's on offense. Cooper has 9 receivers that have receptions this year with 3 others other than Hendrix who have caught TD passes. Cooper has 6 different players that have rushed for Cooper with close to 400 yards rushing not including TCA or his yards. So I am really hoping Ryle does just key on 1 of the only 2 offensive players on Cooper that is a threat.

These excuses get old. OK, lets pretend that the reason LC had negative yards rushing was all because of the guys that were hurt, yet we won't talk about the Coopers offensive players that were also hurt. So then what is your excuse for Lex Cath giving up 164 yards rushing and 262 yards passing on defense and 4 TD's? Now remember, most of those rushing yards were from the backup RB when Cooper's starting RB went out hurt.

I didn't watch their game the previous week so I can't compare the two games. What I am saying is he didn't overthrow everyone like you are claiming he did. He had the majority of his passes ontarget but were either broken up before the receiver could haul it in or the defender seperated the ball and the reciever when the ball got there. I can remember 4 such instances off the top of my head where the defender's hit caused an incompletion and I believe one of those hits led to an int or if it didn't it was dropped by the defender where it could have been an int.. You do realize Lex Cath had better compl % than Cooper did that game right? You also realize Lex Cath's QB completed more passes than Cooper on about the same number of attempts? It wasn't as if the QB was awful like you said he was.

Well a little of both. I played soccer a long long time ago and also coached it. So I was always a soccer guy. My son however always played the other 3 major sports because he could without overlapping eachother. Soccer and Football was the same time of the year so he had to choose when he started and once he played football in 1st grade he never thought about dropping it for soccer. Then the reason he fell in love with it was because I would always watch the World Cup and Olympic Soccer, especially the womens because the US womens teams are always more entertaining and better soccer than the US mens. But then we also got EA sports FIFA and that kept him interested also. So it's a combination of all of it. I got him into the European soccer with my favorite player Messi.

I love games like this. It puts both teams strong suits against eachother. Much better than 2 teams with great offenses playing against eachother. Lets put one teams best directly against the other teams best and strap your seatbelt on and sit back and enjoy the ride.

You couldn't be more wrong if you tried. The QB didn't overhtrow everything. Watch the film. Do you remember when Hendrix went out of the game injured in the 1st qtr? Do you remember what that was from? The first of many big hits to a receiver after catching the ball, Hendrix seperated the receiver and the ball with a vicious hit that sent Hendrix out of the game after being shook up on that hit.

Did you actually watch the game? Watch it again if you have the hudl film. LC didn't do Cooper favors by overthrowing everything, actually the QB was quite accurate, what happend was a ton of drops, many of them coming from big hits to the receivers right after the ball got there. I even commented after the game how good at throwing I thought the LC QB was. He put a lot of his passes right on the numbers, the DB's either jumped the routes to pick them off or the receiver had got jarred by big hits which popped the ball out.

That has been our point. Cooper's defense that game was lights out no matter who played and who didn't.

I'm not an outsider, but I can give an unbiased look into the game. Ryle's running attack is the strength of that team with the 3 headed monster for 3 great runners that would start on any team in the area. Coopers strength s their defense as you mentioned. Ryle has won many of their games imo by continuing to pound the ball wearing down defenses in the 2nd half. It's not a magical formula, just good old fashioned smash mouth football that wears down defenses. Look at the majority of Ryles games and most of them are very close come halftime, they open up their big leads in the 2nd half and that is because of the defenses getting pounded by their backs. I think it's very smart rotating the 3 backs like they do so not one of them get worn down and they are always fresh. Cooper has been known this year for their defense. Yes they lost twice. Once to BS and once to SK. Remember though they only gave up 6 points to SK in the entire 2nd half of their game and SK has been everyon'es consensus #1 team in NKY. Holding Powell to only 60 yards when he has had games of 40 rushes etc. is pretty darn good. They held Lex Cath's rushing game to -1 yard while Ryle gave up over 100 to the same team. so this game will come down to 1 thing in my opinion. If Cooper can get a lead and build on it before the half then it will come down to if their defense can stay up the 2nd half. If they ear down then Ryle wins this game. Cooper's offense is good, not as explosive as Ryles can be but with TCA if he is 100% and on top of that if Nathan Brown is given time to go downfield, Hendrix can be the X factor in this game. He has around 400 yards receiving the last 2 games with 6 TD's and 3 INT's on defense. So I will stay with, if Cooper can get a lead by halftime and their defense doesn't get worn down then they win, if their defense is getting pounded by Ryle's run game and shows signs of getting worn down then Ryle wins. Either way I dno't see Ryle's passing game being the difference maker at all. I look at both teams going to their strong suit to get the victory and Ryles is their running game.

It's interesting, my son plays college football and has never played soccer yet he has 2 soccer flags hanging in his dorm room. Chelsea and Manchester.

So everyone else knows what the proposal was, it was pretty simple. I would give RaiderRail $20 if Ryle won, he turned it down. Pretty simple if you ask me. For someone who is so confident of the outcome of the game you'd think he'd jump at it. If Cooper won however he would have to pay me $250 for someone so confident in Ryle you'd think he'd have no problems at all considering I never once made a prediction on this game and never once said Cooper would win, yet even with those facts, he is still afraind to put his money where his mouth is. He wanted you all to know what the proposal was, so there it is. If you are so confident in your team then take the $20. The only reason you wouldn't is if you actually think Cooper is better is my only guess. So we now know Raider thinks Cooper is better. Glad we got that cleared up

He's good, still learning but is fun to watch. I was really impressed with LC's DB's actually. They just happened to meet Cooper on one of those nights that kids dream of playing in. Cooper has never looked that good on defense although their defense this year is pretty good. Just one of those things after getting beat by SK the week before they had something to prove to themselves and Lex Cath just happened to be the next team on the schedule. Lex Cath should be fine come playoffs. They have a very athletic team and should do good. cooper and their QB's over the last 3 years have all been 1st time senior starting QB's. We go into the seasons not sure how they will do and they keep surprising us. take 2013, Will Ludwig replaced 3 year starter Tyler Morris and no one knew how it would go and he only broke all the school records for passing. Then he got hurt in the playoff game after leading by 21 or 24 or soemthing like that at halftime, the backup QB came in, Billy Prickett and proceeded to turn the ball over on 6 straight dirves, 2 fumbles and 4 INT's and we lost to Anderson County on their comeback. So we enter 2014 season with a big Question mark because Billy Pricket is now going to be the starting QB, after the playoff performance we had some big question marks on how he would play. He only then proceeded to lead the team to the State semi final game against Pulaski Co. Then came this year, Nathan Brown a 1st time starting QB who is also a senior this year. A big question mark going into the season and he so far has played really well. So Coach Borchers puts something in the water and turns out some pretty good QB's that no one was expecting.

Let me educate you, "When" isn't how you spell "Win" I will continue your education and let you know that yes, a hail mary at the end of the first half that is intercepted in the endzone is the same as a an interception in the 4th qtr when your team is trying to "WIN" the game. I thought you were talking about their star RB who was hurt and taken out of the game. The QB didn't stay out long and when he was out we ran. The QB was only out 1 series that covered 2 passes. It's a 1st year QB so if you were afraid of Coopers QB, then you don't know much about Cooper at all. Again Cooper didn't miss much that series the QB was out.

Actually you are wrong. I take it you meant to say when Armststrong (TCA) went out, did Cooper move the ball as good with his backup? Actually they did, actually his backup rushed for more yards than TCA did against Lex Cath. Jackson rushed for 84 yards compared to TCA's 74 yards. Also Jackson scored a TD, TCA didn't.

Cooper gave up -1 rushing yards to Lex Cath, how many did Ryle give up? I will tell you, Ryle gave up 105 yards rushing to Lex Cath! That is BAD! After last weeks game, I don't know if Conner has it in them to pull away from anyone. I think this could be another 1 score game, and not even sure Conner will win it. Conner this year has won 4 games by a combined total of 12 points. I don't think this game will be any different.
