I agree he is the MVP of Corbin but I think you can say that about 6 or 7 players of their respected teams. If you want to go on most valuable to their team them Broughton from North has way higher percentage of his teams shots and points. Now I would never pick a kid on a sub 500 team but I think you have to take all aspects of the game into consideration and I agree Corbin loses alot more games without him. But so does each team without the best player.

13th- Andrew Taylor is a volume shooter and if he doesn't get calls at home his numbers are down. He's averaging 21.6 PPG while shooting 45.1%. His PPG out him 4th in the region while his Fg% is the lowest of the top 10. Also he is playing on a team that is barley above 500 and may not get out of there district. There's no way you can make a case for this kid. I can give 4 or 5 that has way better numbers on winning teams. Not a knock on the kid as he is special and just a freshman but if you are gonna throw him in the POY talks then at least have the numbers to back it up.

Looks about right to me. And I'll even go as far as saying when CLAY shows up and plays Defense the way they did against Knott with that kind of effort 1-5 they are as good as just about anyone. Ryan House is a difference maker on that end. Look forward to the matchup this week with South.

I'll take Clay by 8 on the road. South has no answer for Smith and Farmer. One of these two will have a huge game.

Yes Smith played sick was not 100%. But he gutted it out. Talked to his Dad last and said he had some virus. He stayed in the bed until last minute possible. That he wanted to play

Hey Black and Gold we won easily and Smith did play and have a big game. Don't be mad just because Clay can play and you are afraid to see them full strength. You dog them every chance you get. They played Knott Down to the wire with a chance to win. We didn't there was no excuses they are better than we are. We just handed Buckhorn their worst loss of the year. Clay will be fine. You worry about your team. Anyone that knows the game knows Clay can play.

I don't know about losing 1 to transfer but they got one of their starters from Buckhorn this on a transfer. They lost their big kid Johnson due to graduation he's at WKU.

I think Clay firmly plants themselves as the 2nd best team in the mountains and the best in the 13th hands down. They played Knott Down To the Wire With A Chace To TIE Twice Under A minute. And then gave Buckhorn their worse loss of the year. This was a great tournament. Loved the atmosphere

Farmer had 26 pts 7 reb. Smith had 22 pts 6 reb 4 blks 6 ast and 3 stls. Clay really turned up the defense in the 2nd half and Smith and Farmer had their way.

Clay is in trouble against Buckhorn today. Smith is very sick and probably can't go. Boys gonna have to pick up the slack but I'm afraid this could be another loss.

You don't see us making excuses. We got beat plain and simple. But we played nowhere near perfect. Smith played the whole game sick and throwing up but you don't hear us winning about it. We did play well and if you think we make everything we throw up. Just ask other teams that have seen us play. We make more jumpers than most. Knott is a very good team. But so is Clay. We give credit where credit is due. You should try to as well. Your team is not unbeatable.

Clay shot the worst percentage tonight that they have all year don't start that garbage. Clay makes about 55 % of their shots on the year.

Clay played a nice game and played great defense tonight . Glad to see the effort. Evan hall killed them tonight on offensive out backs. If CC rebounds better they win. Outstanding effort from Smith, House and Sexton on the defensive end. Farmer finished with 20 pts, and Smith 14. I think Clay proved tonight they can play with the best in the state

Taylor will foul Rice out in 10 minutes if they will throw him the ball. Rice can't guard without fouling. Broughton will drop 30 or more on south. They have no one who can guard him.

This could either be a dandy and close all the way. Or Knott can run Clay out of gym, it depends on whether Clay shows up ready to play. Really look forward to the Justice and Smith matchup. IMO they were clearly the class of the field on night one.

Knott is best team I've seen this year and it ain't even close.

It wasn't just farmer. They decided that they could roll out of bed and beat Hazard and that's the way they played. Not defensive effort at all. Smith carried them all night. Clay's plays alot to their competition. If the competition isn't that good then that's the way they play. If they are good then we play better. I'll say this if they don't bring their A game Friday it will get ugly quick. Knott is for real and played very well yesterday.
