Daviess was definitely hampered by the wind, South had many fumbles and miss handled snaps that went right back to them. I'd say South would have a tough time stopping a good passing attack on a normal weather night. Luckily for them everyone runs the ball on their schedule. South line is very physical and gets after it, backs are good runners and QB is a tough runner too. DC has some quality skill players, a future stud QB who as a sophomore had a ton of pocket presence. DC defense was better than advertised. Wish both teams good luck, both have important District games.

Didn't South Warren only lose to Daviess last year til the playoffs? Who all do the Spartans play this season? Do they play Daviess again? How bad did they beat Monroe?

Bet if it was basketball no one would have a problem, oh wait basketball can play as many full games a summer that they want. Heard of a local team who played 50 games one summer. How is that fair?

Face it if you're outside of Louisville you don't have a chance. 6A programs should have an at large and a Louisville championship. Then let them play for bragging rights. Would work if you went to 5 classes and a Louisville only 5A and a statewide 5A.

KHSAA has ruined any type of rivalries in football. Look at basketball, true rivalries exist there still. How can you have a rivalry with a school that is over 2 hours away in your district. Totally ludicrous. I'd rather see 3 or 4 classes ranked on size & tradition. Or just let you have open scheduling and seed the teams into a post season tournament in 4 classes. Match basketball, baseball and football schedules. That way you could form true rivalries.

What about 6A? Doesn't look pretty in the North and the West. 6 northern KY 6A, and now 5 6A in the West. Lexington works out perfectly with 8 teams, Louisville and surrounding Hardin County have 13 schools. Khsaa is going to have to go with some odd numbers in districts to make it work. Does everyone still make the playoffs? Rotate districts for playoffs? Really a mess. What happens when Fayette County builds the new school, will that change it all again?

What about the US History and Biology EOC scores? I am a former US History teacher, pet peeve of mine that Social Studies is forgotten by everyone!

I forsee a few more requests to play up to 6A.

Who does that Place with Meade, Central and North Hardin? Prp? Far West 6A would be McCracken, Henderson, Daviess and Muhlenberg?

Ohio County and Apollo, travel to Daviess, Muhlenberg much closer than to Graves, Christian and Hoptown. Make a nice 4 team district of current 3rd region foes, all traditional rivals who carry over basketball and baseball feuds to the gridiron. McCracken really throws a fly into the ointment in 6A, they aren't close to anyone and aren't in the same region as any bigger schools now that Marshall has dropped. Just let them all play at large and rank them afterwards for playoff seedings.

Lots of 5A schools would be wise to play 6A. Ohio County, Greenwood, Logan County, Barren County, Grayson County, Apollo. What would that do to the balance if 40 teams are in 6A?
