Not yet, I am working on it.

According to KHSAA, Hopkinsville has forfeited 3 games due to using an ineligible player. None of the games were district games. I am sure more news will come out later.
-
I am hoping Hoptown can pull it out. Graves County is playing better after a slow start.
-
Hopkinsville vs Graves County should be a good game. Graves County has really given it to Hoptown the last 2 years, so Hoptown should be up for this game with the District championship on the line

Greenvilleky do you ever have anything good to say, you seem to always want to prove everyone wrong. What team do you root for? How do you think they will do this coming season?

I left out Owensboro Apollo and Colloway County, they would be in my 2nd 5, moving Caldwell Co. and Graves Co. out of the my top 10. Again these are teams that I have seen play. -

1. Hopkinsville 2. Owensboro 3. Bowling Green 4. Taylor County 5. Henderson County 6. University Heights 7. Graves County 8. Warren Central 9. Elizabethtown 10. Caldwell County After 4, those teams are interchangeable, except Caldwell at #10. I am sure I left some teams out. For the most part these are teams I have seen play. -
From what I understand, they all will be eligible, not sure about Akeem.

Jaqualis Matlock 6'6" Sr and Nick Hatcher 5'9" Sr only returning starters from last season. Transfers Ledonald Gray 6'1" Sr and Jordan Gary 6'0" from UHA and AJ Tyler 6'1" should bring experience the team. Jordan McGee 6'5" Sr, Kourtney Ware 6"2" Jr, CJ Henegan 6'3" So, and Steven Shorty Cager 5'8" Fr all played JV that only 1 or 2 games last season and got some varsity playing time as well. Jalen Johnson 5'10" Fr PG will also see playing time. From what I hear Jalen had a strong AAU season, not which what team, maybe the best PG to play for Hopkinsville in while once he's done. Akeem 6'10"from Africa, if he becomes eligible could be a difference maker. From what I understand Akeem is athletic and has decent range. Jaqualis Matlock has worked on his ball handling and outside shooting, so look for another big year out Hoptown.

Hopkinsville/West Creek(TN) Updates
chardun replied to swamprat's topic in KY Football (High School)
Hopkinsville 42 West Creek TN, 7 SR Nick Hatcher 2 punt returns for TDs and an interception. Hatcher starting PG for the basketball team decided to play football for the first time since the 8th grade, maybe he should have been playing football the whole time. Hatcher also had 2 receptions. -

Warren Central/Hopkinsville Predictions
chardun replied to DragonFire's topic in KY Football (High School)
I think WC wins. Hopkinsville have lost a lot games over the last 8 years and have a tendency to drop there heads if they get off to a slow start. If Hopkinsville can get off to a good start, and maintain that level of play, they can keep it within 2 TDs. If after a quarter or 2, things don't go there way, it could be another 48 to 10 type game. Hopkinsville have to stop letting a few bad series define the whole game.- 9 replies

Hopkinsville 56 Owensboro 35 Scrimmage
chardun replied to chardun's topic in KY Football (High School)
Hopkinsville RB Zach Adkins had 4 TDs with several long runs. Nick Hatcher REC had a kick off return for a TD. Hopkinsville completed 1 or 2 passes for the game, so it looks like they will depend on the running game a lot this year. -
Owensboro won the first half 29 to 28. Hopkinsville won the 3rd Qtr. 14-0 although they did not post scores for the 3rd Qtr. JV's played the 4th Qtr. Hopkinsville won 14-7.

Should 19 year olds be allowed to play High School Football?
chardun replied to bballguy's topic in KY Football (High School)
Both of my Sons graduated at 17. The elementary schools they went to wanted to advance to higher grades because they are smart. They both choose to stay with there class. I am sure some parents allow there kids to be moved to a higher grade also. -
