Basketball season for 2014/2015 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Hopkinsville. Remember, please be constructive.

Jaqualis Matlock 6'6" Sr and Nick Hatcher 5'9" Sr only returning starters from last season. Transfers Ledonald Gray 6'1" Sr and Jordan Gary 6'0" from UHA and AJ Tyler 6'1" should bring experience the team. Jordan McGee 6'5" Sr, Kourtney Ware 6"2" Jr, CJ Henegan 6'3" So, and Steven Shorty Cager 5'8" Fr all played JV that only 1 or 2 games last season and got some varsity playing time as well. Jalen Johnson 5'10" Fr PG will also see playing time. From what I hear Jalen had a strong AAU season, not which what team, maybe the best PG to play for Hopkinsville in while once he's done. Akeem 6'10"from Africa, if he becomes eligible could be a difference maker. From what I understand Akeem is athletic and has decent range. Jaqualis Matlock has worked on his ball handling and outside shooting, so look for another big year out Hoptown.

Akeem isn't even enrolled yet at the school. Ironically, the UHA "exchange student" rule will keep him out. Gray has been ruled ineligible by the khsaa and Gary ruled eligible. Friend who teaches at hoptown high told me yesterday.

ok. just made a phone call to check up on ledonald. he is currently ineligible as greenville said above. Reason is that uha isn't wanting to release papers on him. Same thing happen with poindexter last year. They released gary's papers. this issue should be resolved within the upcoming weeks. When i hear something I will fill you all in.

This is absolutely false. UHA signed papers over the first week of school. Issue is that gray has no valid argument to be eligible. Didn't move, didn't get kicked out of school etc...

To be specific, the guidance counselor at hoptown told me that the interim ad went to UHA and got the papers on both signed. In fact hoptown was shocked that UHA didn't report the situation. Reason they didn't is because they didn't want to cause the kids to not be able to play, despite the situation. However they did think the khsaa would rule gray ineligible because there was no valid reason for for having the one year sit out period to be waved. Remember , you have to prove to the khsaa why you shouldn't be ineligible. Gary "moved". Gray didn't.

Greenvilleky do you ever have anything good to say, you seem to always want to prove everyone wrong. What team do you root for? How do you think they will do this coming season?

I'm not going to argue with you Greenville I find my sources very good and very very close to the team who knows it could be some of the staff that sits on the bench every game, and I'm not knocking your sources either Greenville. I'll say come time to suit up 85% chance Gray will be in the orange and black. I'm just here giving the information I have been told. It almost seems to be that you don't like Hoptown like chardun stated above. Your screen name is Greenville maybe hinting your from Greenville and last I checked you all have a basketball team.
