  1. Scott's big 3, Clephane, Stapleton, and Secrist are tough to contend with. They have size and athleticism. Clephane gets to the rim well and finishes well and usually resulting in foul as well. Secrist has gotten taller and stronger this season and she has a nice mid range jumper. Stapleton is just smooth with her shot and plays with finesse. Scott played really well first half. Foul trouble played a factor in the second half but was able still pull out a hard fought win. Notre Dame stayed in the game until the last 1:45 left in game when they started fouling and Scott didn't miss from the line down the stretch. Notre Dame picked up the tempo on the defensive end of the floor with about 2 minutes to go in the half and kept that tempo going into the second half and that played a big factor in the game due to Scott struggled with the pressure and had some turnovers that could have cost them the game but unfortunately Notre Dame was unable to execute at the other end of the floor. I like the Tierney girl as she hustles and has a nice scoring ability as well. I saw good things in both of these teams and as season continues I think they both will be tough to deal with.
  2. Scott 48 Notre Dame 38 end of 3rd. A lot of sloppy play on both ends of the floor. Expected for the first game of the season.
  3. The Lady Jags make their season debut in Claryville against the Lady Camels on Wednesday evening. What can we expect from this game and what are the key factors?
  4. The Lady Eagles kickoff their season by traveling to Park Hills to play the Pandas. Who wins and what are the key factors?
  5. Campbell has really tough schedule this year as well.
  6. Tyler is a very nice player that does all the small things that helps teams win. Tyler will be a very impactful player for Dixie this year.
  7. I can't speak for Scott but Campbell has beaten Pendelton both times they played this summer so far.
  8. I know SK is having their camp this week so just trying to see if anyone has a schedule yet?
  9. Jolly, Clos and Kramer all got their 1000 points this year.
  10. Campbell will certainly miss the seniors they lose this year as they were a huge part of the success the team had this year. Campbell does return their leading scorer, assist leader and leading rebounder for next season. They will some inexperience logging more minutes next year but Coach Menefee will have them where them prepared come tourney time. Scott loses 2 starters in Dant and Kallmeyer so they are returning 3 starters. You can't count Campbell out to still win their district and give anyone in the region a run for their money. Mason does however return the most starters as they did this year as well. GRC will bring back all but 1 starter so again I think the region will be anybody's game when the time comes.
  11. It was suppose to say the single game scoring record for a girls state tourney game.
  12. I agree. CC had a great season and made history doing it. I am proud of all of our girls and coaches. Jolly, Kramer, H. Schwarber, Fornash and Turner it's been a pleasure watching you girls through the years and what a way to go out. Good to all of you in your future endeavors. You are a special group of players and even a better group of young ladies. It's been a heck of a ride.
  13. There was never an extension of the arm and the defender was all over Clos. The shot was already taken and fell off the rim before the whistle blew. Tough break for the Lady Camels. Good luck to Franklin moving forward.
  14. It definately looked like there is some bad blood between these 2 teams. It's tough when the same team knocks you out of the all a state tourney and now the sweet sixteen tourney. That's enough to leave a bad taste in anyone's mouth.
  15. This is a tough one. Holmes defense is relentless and Mercer has a ton of offensive weapons and play well together but I am going to take Holmes by 2.
  16. Well said. This isn't even a close race. Boley is hands down the best female basketball that I have seen play the game at a high school level. There is no comparison to the strength of competition that Creech and Boley play against. Boley could have scored 50 tonight in that first round game if she wanted to. She is a very unselfish player and at the end of the day you really can't compare them against one another. Creech is a good player that has had a great high school career and accomplished things that probably won't be accomplished again in our time but at the end of the day Boley is Miss Basketball hands down.
  17. Heather Baker from Pulaski 46 pts in 1996 against Belfry is what I found. Is that the most all time?
