  1. Many of these teams are now starting to play each other, which should give us a better idea on who can win this region. I still think it is an 8 team race. As in whatever 8 teams make the regional tournament have a chance. There is also a separation between the top 10 and the rest of the field. 28th Eastern Ballard CAL KCD I could see any of these four making out very tough district. They bottom half of the team’s 11- 18 just won’t be able to pull an upset 11. Brown have been without leading scorer Fife (20 ppg) for a few games. If he is out for a while it could be a really long season for them. 12. Portland Christian. I do not see Shawnee on their schedule, not sure if they opted out of district play but if they did don’t see why they would play central. 13. St. Francis- have been playing better as of late and have a good chance to beat silver grove this week. Before they go into all A play against Whitefield. 14. Atherton is really struggling this year, 7 of their loss have been by 7 points or fewer. If they can start finding a way to win the close one they can turn the season around. The schedule gets a little easier the second half. They did win a tight one over collegiate on Saturday. 15. Seneca- they do have 3 winnable games coming up Fairdale, Lou. Holy Cross and Atherton (district game). They need to win 2 of these for confidence. 16. Collegiate. Is playing better and that is in large part to a 6’8 transfer from ST.X who started playing right around Christmas break. A win over Atherton could have been he for them. They have Portland Christian on the 11th. Which I see them winning. 17. Shawnee- they continue to struggle and looking to get a few wins in All A winning the 6th region All A could be a saving grace for a struggling team and season. 18. Walden they are not very good but they do have Michael Harris who is the best player in the region most have never heard of. He is avg. around 37 a game and can keep them in most games.

  3. So should all players have to honor their word and never decommit from a school, no matter if UK or UL offers to in state kids.
  4. Attendance throughout jcps is really really bad. Going to be up to principals on if absent players can play or not. Might affect some games in the 6th and 7th regions tonight.
  5. In Jefferson Co. there is open enrollment and kids can go where every they want. It is not hard at all to get them in most schools. With few exceptions Male and Butler which are traditional and take directly from their feeder middle schools. Manual and Brown being the most difficult as they are application and take the brightest and best from 100s and 1000s of applicants. So a kid can go any where else they want if there is not a bus they just have to provide there own transportation. When a kid transfers he needs the principal to release them 1st. They need to have a change of address into new schools resided or home school.
  6. I agree kcd is very skilled. Might have a top PG in the city top 5 in the state. Along with a foward that can hang with cook.
  7. The boys went to a true LIT a few years ago it most the coaches and AD like it. They use to bring in out of county teams now just 6th and 7th region. The SETH ranking are not perfect bit they are a lot better then the Lit rankings that were previously used. If you were high in the rankings and lost a ton of games you would still make the field. Now losses hurt a lot more then wina, but most times you won't get a 1-10 school in. The small schools have a chance now.
  8. Heard one was going to go to Lexington at the end of the season not sure if it was hill or not. (forgot which one of the big three)
  9. Tigers succumb at Waggener, 53-49 | CatholicSportsNet
  10. I would classify Hobbs PG as a lot more than adequate. He is a very talent player and really really good defender. They are the most talented team in the 7th.
  11. What I heard happened at valley was players did something. It was something his players did and something that happens at least once a year at multiple JCPS high schools every year in some way. If it is true.
  12. I don't think it would be wise to take the word of a student at the school on what is really happening. Saying that I have no clue what really happened.

  14. Valley I thought was young and had a good season also.
  15. according to JCPS website Jefferson County Public Schools, Louisville, Kentucky Iroquois is now open
  16. If I'm not mistaken hasn't he been 6th region runner up 3 times, and losing on a last second shot once. I wouldn't say he "will never win the region". It won't be this year.
  17. At Fairdale nov 21st 10:30 a.m. Desales vs. Spencer Co. 12:00 p.m. Iroquois vs. Marion Co. 1:30 p.m. Bardstown vs. University Heights 3:00 p.m. Fairdale vs. North Oldham 4:30 p.m. Whitefield vs. South Oldham 6:00 p.m. Eastern vs. Boyd Co. 7:30 p.m. Manual vs. North Hardin
  18. Not a complaint just an idea. I understand the logics and the amount of teams would make it difficult. I feel it is a great idea to get exposure for the kids. If you want to take it as a complaint do so.
  19. Would have been nice for all schools to get invited to participate even if it took two days.

  22. When/where/time what other teams will be there.
  23. A lot of average teams in the rest of it, ten more teams all about the same.I know Moore has a few transfers and a good freshman. Doss did loss a ton to graduation and transfers. Not sure what Southern has. Fairdale has two players Queen and Richardson. 1. Bullitt East- return the most upper classmen will be tough again. 2. Fern Creek- most talent but it is still young I hear they got a few transfers to help out with size. (Ballard and Doss I think). 3. PRP- Drabo transferred from Iroquois and was considered top 5 freshman in state 4 years ago, could be in line for a huge year. 4. Butler- hearing nothing but good things great coach, most of the kids who were giving coach Gibson problems are gone and they were young and talented last year. Could make a lot of noise. 5.Desales- will always play D and have some shooters perfect coach for this team and school.
  24. It is a shame that they cannot take the time to get the simple things right Dunlap is not even in the state anymore and hasn’t been for a while. Last year they didn’t even have some of the coaches correct who had been coaching new teams all summer. Why don’t they just ask someone who cares to write it, I'm sure it would not be hard to find. I think the top 6 in this region will battle all year. and would not surprise me if any of them won it.
