  1. I would think this job would have been filled already. I'm hearing it is Jennifer Hibbs job to lose. She is the one who took over midway through the year.
  2. Hearing both assistants on the staff put in for it, along with a the female Asst. from Male and a few head coaches from around the city. I would think Pounder would be the front runner, former head coach at Waggener and Shawnee. Would be surprised if anyone else gets it. But they will have a ton of interest.
  3. It is a very tough job with the district and hard to get girls into the school. Yes you can win 20 games and not even make the regional tournament. The last coach I heard was up set about the school not letting in AAU girls.
  4. I missed Lou. Central coming open. I know the coach was pregnant during the season last year.
  5. C. Williams A. Cook Q. Goodin Faulkner Sharp top four guys for Mr. Basketball starting together
  6. BOYS * West (Regions 1-8) – James Boone (Murray), Sayveon McEwen (Paducah Tilghman), Tyrik Edwards (Christian County), Jaiveon Eaves (Madisonville-North Hopkins), Stewart Currie (Daviess County), Cody Mingus (Breckinridge County), Wade Coomer (Barren County), Dayton Gumm (South Warren), Mason Faulkner (Caverna), Quentin Goodin (Taylor County), Dominique Compton (Green County), Tyler Sharpe (Bullitt East), Ryan Henson (North Bullitt), Alex Cook (Male), Connor McKim (St. Xavier), Carson Williams (Owen County), Jacob Bates (Oldham County). * East (Regions 9-16) – Ben Weyer (Newport Central Catholic), Tyler Bezold (Covington Holy Cross), Matt Wilson (Campbell County), Antwavon “Pig” Williams (Mason County), Darius Williams (Paul Dunbar), Isaiah Tisdale (Henry Clay), Trey Blevins (Wayne County), Will Hager (Mercer County), Caleb Taylor (South Laurel), Trey Farmer (Clay County), Conner Hoskins (Buckhorn), Travis Dunn (Perry County Central), Hunter Swindall (Shelby Valley), Andrew Tackett (South Floyd), Jordan Perry (Morgan County), Bobby Anderson (Boyd County). The Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches has announced the rosters for its East-West All-Star games set for April 16 at Transylvania University. The girls game is set for 6 p.m., with the boys game to follow at 8 p.m. Im going with the west
  7. 6th and 7th 2015/16 Jtown Butler Moore Shawnee Male Collegiate 2014/15 Doss Fairdale Whitefield Valley Atherton Shawnee Brown ST. Francis North Bullitt Desales 13/14 Fern creek CAL Seneca Bullitt East Butler Walden Beth Haven
  8. I'm hearing a lot of rumors in the 6 and 7th that a possibility of 4 top level job might open, being PRP (retirement) I will wait till season is over since a few of the teams are still playing. 6th region- 2 or 3 jobs 7th- 4 jobs
  9. I agree I thought the PRP/Desales game would be the only one in the city not a close game. But we all over looked the fact that Crews can flat out coach. He has been in what 3 or 4 regional championship games at Desales.
  10. I think it is Trinity, I know X beat them already and McKim is a stud. Heck I don't know i was 1-3 picking the 7th yesterday.
  11. Waggener over X McKim is held under 20 Waggener controls the glass. Waggener has won the pass two game including regional and a game earlier this year. as already mentioned in this post, Hobbs is playing for Waggener he is the difference maker on that team. Ballard over Central Central has been up and down all year, they are playing very well but so is Ballard. if Ballard does not get in to big of a hole to start the game they will win by 12. Manual over Eastern I could see this one coming down to who has the ball last. Eastern does not really have an identity this year, they tried slowing it down I could see them pressing and trying to speed up manual. Manual will execute its half court screening motion offense and catch Eastern in multiple switch. Eastern has not taken advantage of their height difference most of the season. Male over Trinity Best 1st round game in the state, who ever wins this will win the region. If Trinity shots close to 60% from 3 again like in the district championship game they will win. if they come back to none curry like shooting 38% I feel male will take this game. Male has the best player in the region and with 8 seniors and 5 juniors I see Male winning this in a close one. The one thing that could really change this game is how it is called. Male only shoots 65% from the line while trinity is the top in the state.
  12. I would love to see a FC/PRP game would make for great tv.
  13. I am really interested to see how well PRP plays with a new PG (hill) now playing although he did not play a lot in district championship game due to back spasms.
  14. I would think that is because of the way it is set up, every district has 2 good teams and two below avg. teams normally. the only exception as of late would be Ballard, Eastern, CAL, KCD, Walden. So they set it up to get the best 8 in the regional every year.
  15. Sixth region this year looks like Bullitt east to lose. PRP will have try hill tonight against valley. 1. BE 2. Fern creek 1. PRP Try Hill will play tonight he has been added to PRP roster. 2. Valley 1. DOSS the second best chance to win the region 2. Desales will lose first round surprised they even made it in huge win over Butler. 1. North Bullitt they have beaten PRP and played BE tough 2. Moore athletic team could win 1st round depending on who they draw
  16. 1. Male 2. Trinity 3. Ballard 12-2 against 7th region opponents 4. St. X (with wins over male and Trinity they are playing well with one of the best players in the region. 5. Manual great win at home against male and win over X 6. Waggener they have not been healthy all year PG Hobbs is back and the game changer for this team. Wins over X and Eastern this year. 7. Eastern tough team to figure out. Tried slowing it down and lost to Waggener They have beaten x, manual and central 8. Central Brandon wells health is affecting this team when he is on the court they can make a run with out him they struggle. 9. KCD made a run at eastern districts fell short 10. CAL 11. Collegiate 2 mid year transfers this team is the best of a bad bottom half would not be surprised if one or two more transfers come in next year 12. Seneca Had two players quit middle of district game unless they get a transfer or two not looking good next year. 13. Shawnee 1st year coach struggled at times should take a step forward next year in year two 14. Atherton took a step back in year two 15. Brown struggled down the stretch after a good start injuries to big to over come. 16. Portland Christian favorable schedule helped get them 11 wins. 17. St, Francis lost to (Brown twice, Portland Christian only regional win Walden 18. Walden only had one player 2nd team all region Micheal Harris.
  17. Waggener did beat St x. earlier in the year, I would count that as a nice win. They do need to at least split games this week though.

  20. A lot of times in Jefferson Co. they feel the middle school coach can bring in kids X,Y and Z and make the program better right away. It has become a lot more about who you can recruit rather then other aspects.
  21. Seth Rankings as of 12/31. as previously stated you get weekly updates per jcps sports twitter page
  22. Why did you just look at the large private schools. Way not the ones who don't win. Wouldn't they have the same advantage.
